None in particular, I just don't want to see "Original Designs" because to me often they take away from the original lore. Like the Ragnarok (or whatever it was called) in MechAssault... or the Hellspawn... Or insert any other 'original concept' mechs made by the devs and not the original Fasa guys.
But some of the most iconic Battletech Mechs were not designed by FASA, like the Marauder, Rifleman, Warhammer, Battlemaster and many more. They were borrowed from other universes ans settings cause the FASA guys thought they were cool... so what's wrong with designing a new Mech, from the grond up, for a new game as long as the design is nice and fits the BT/MW lore/setting? Though i also would prefer to get the bulk of BT designs into the game before even thinking about implementing a completly new design.

Why oh Why so much clan hate? I recall back in MW2 when all we had to look forward to was either a clan based add on or Battletech on AOL to keep us entertained, those where very dark days indeed
For me personaly, i don't like the Clans, never did. As i expanded to other tabletops later i encountered similiar factions in other settings which i find equaly unintersting.... like the Space Marines of 40K fame. It's certainly not hate, but i don't want to play them as i find the lore and fluff describing them boring and uninteresting. This is of course a personal opinion, and i don't have anything against other people enjoying the clan lore.
From a gameplay perspective i think they'll be hard to balance in a 1:1 situation as most clan technology is a straight upgrade from the IS counterparts. The introduction of melee might help IS mechs to be more of a match for clan players, but like in pretty much all videogame ports, melee is not an option (yet).
