Thank you, this shows exactly how broken the current system is. It should have been an overwhelming victory for the IS Forces but because of the poor system mechanics in place, the event was given to the clans.

There is no argument left for anyone, the numbers are what the numbers are. The current mechanic needs to be removed and replaced with something that will allow the winning side to actually win.

The IS is "STRONG" with the New Tech. Those Stats shows it all!
It´s on you PGI to balance the **** out of those Stats!

All it shows was how stacked IS was at the start.

Bar was maxed for 3 or so days.

After that, and lots of units went Clan and hence the bar pulled back towards the end.

Usual behaviour when Mercs can far two sides worth of rewards

It's one of the best SRM clan brawlers.

But alas, moat clan PUGs would be loading ATM/LRM on them while crying 'IS OP'

So if you look at the map PGI has actually sneaked Tharkad back to the IS side. So they admit IS won but they did not admit that they did anything wrong. Anywhooo my unit lost its planet and we have to admit that IS deserved the win. Maybe we can agree that clan is not OP?

The only reason I can see that the IS "deserved" the tie/stalemate instead of the Clans actually winning would be due to the initial setup that lasted until the event was over with. IF Tharkad had the same parameters as Luthien event the Clans would have still won by 94% (battles were worth 1%, 100 battle each side of the ToW, 90% to win).

I cannot wait to hear why it was changed. Was the stat generation the real reason that showed that IS had had more battles won in Siege (and Scouting) and higher ups decided to roll back Matt's furbar of it, which had not been rectified until AFTER the event? And where they using the WRONG percentage though ROFL - IS Win/Loss Ratio: 9339/8145 = 1.45% pointed out in another post 1.14%

You joke, but there will be many who still rant on about dem clanz being op.

Most mercs started on IS side farmed IS mech reward then switched to Clans to farm the clan mech reward.

So nextime before you start posting IS/clans/whatever OP remember kids: pilot that killed ya is OP not the side hes playing right now.

Why should i play an FP event in the future as IS loyalist?

There is absolutely no sense to do this if big merc units can dictate the end results of an event...

And we can never see which side is OP so long big merc units can influence that.

It doesn't matter in which mechs EVIL or MJ12 and such good units are sitting....they will beat you with a high probability.

But for the rest of us, balance can be an important topic...so for future please think about that, there is a difference to look at.

Nevertheless, PGI please think about another solution for these kind of events...in my eyes it is not fair enough.

Is it really OP? out of ~3173 wins, they had about 174 more wins than clans. Total.

So if one's definition of "OP" is "gets more wins, period" then I suppose, but they only got about 5% more wins than clans which doesn't appear to be some horrible disparity.

...but that's just based on simple win comparisons...

Now lets tackle the concept of "balance" since a lot of people don't seem to understand what real balance would be. If the game was truly balanced tech wise, ties would be more common, the Tug of War bar would stay near the middle. You would roughly have a 50% W/L ratio, which may appeal to a degree...

...but what people typically really mean when they say "balance the game!" is "I feel disadvantaged, give me an edge!" b/c honestly, people don't want "fair" or true "balance"... they just don't want to admit it.

Well, this way they should sneak Luthien to the clan side, because during battle for luthien stats were like:

Total # of Siege Match attacker/defender wins:
Clan: 988
IS: 635

And it was called a draw.

the nerfs were well deserved, i would not waste a second to use clan MG with the slight accuracy nerf in exchange for their immense weight advantage.

some people still dont get it, the weaponry of the clans is so light, that almost all of their mechs have the firepower of the next higher weightclass. the structure and armor quirks dont help, they just give the clans more dmg points to farm, resulting in higher scores and rewards in addition to an easier to play mech with less risk to take. the general heat quirk on the orion is a step in the right direction, actually differing both factions with clan having high alphas, but IS having the higher dps if they play clever and get close enough. we need more of those quirks that actually change the way the game is played, instead of just giving one faction more dmg points to farm.
