Ice Ferret

at first i thought it was to compensate for the clans awesomeness to take ferro before endo, but the nova cat already disapproves that
mechanic wise, considering it a light harasser, like all other harassers, it needs both endo and ferro in my opinion. perhaps finally there would be a way to utilize all those slots on this mech.

and theyre not well compensated for it.
locked equipment is much the same. mechs like the executioner just dont get compensated for having locked equipment.

It would be nice if said locked equipment was just useful on its own merits, then it wouldn't be a problem. People rarely complain about having DHS locked inside their engine slots, for example. I'm sure nobody would complain if a Clan Omni came along and had 2 hardlocked ERMLas or something.

PGI needs to give the executioner jumpjet quirks
I can already get an executioner on top of the wall in HPG if thats what people are so worried about. So its not like buffing its JJs would suddenly allow it to go anywhere it cant already go.
Any heavy or assault mech thats forced to take locked JJs should have JJs quirks.
The mechs without locked JJs have the option not to use JJs, so they dont need JJ quirks.
And any mech without ferro or endo should get better quirks as well to make up for the potential loss in tonnage. Thats one of the reasons the direwolf should at least have structure quirks. Because it doesnt get endo or ferro or bigger than a 300 engine.

And the Timber Wolf. Don't forget the Timber Wolf!

the timberwolf has both endo and ferro and doesnt really suffer from locked jumpjets since theyre not on every variant.
so from that perspective the timberwolf is fine.
where the timberwolf suffers is the completely unnecessary negative quirks. it should also have better than average agility for a 75 tonner because of its massive oversized engine.
the timberwolf should have the same baseline agility as a 65-70 ton mech. it should not pilot like a dumptruck on a high gravity planet.
but yeah the timberwolf needs help too. just not for the same reason as the executioner.

That is precisely what I was referring to.

Exe is partly compensated by ridiculous amount of mobility post engine desync, and quirks. It is as agile as a 65 ton mech.
