Hey guys, new player here, I bought the clan wave 1 when it was on sale, I used to play old school MechWarrior 2 and they got me good by placing timber wolve as the second most expensive package.

Iv read in the faq that apparently the cosmetic appearance of the prime Mech that comes with the package can’t be changed, which is a huge bummer for me.

I am now saving up cbills for the timber wolve prime in the store, can i change the cosmetic appearance of the prime Mech I buy from the store? Or does the no cosmetic rule extend to all prime Mechs?

Hey man!
Not sure if you are asking about camo patterns and colors or you have something else in mind. Colors and patterns can be changed on any mechs regardles if you got in in some package or just got it for C-bills.

I was just wondering since this was in the faq.

Q: What is the difference between a Prime and Standard Variant?
A: The Prime Variant of each Clan Collection Mech gives a 30% C-Bill Boost. Standard Variants do not have this boost. The Prime Variant also comes with a unique paint pattern that cannot be changed, nor can it be acquired for other Mechs.

So this looks like something directly connected to the Clan Pack. C-bills Prime models have normal colors and patterns that you can change with MC.

Cool just wanted to make sure, thanks, I wish it was just a regular prime Mech.

Just 2 more million to go.

What it means is that the unique pattern replaces the basic color scheme found on the mech, it doesn't prevent you from putting another pattern over it. It also has 3 color slot options to change it from the default colors.

Really, just go look at it in the mechbay, and see for yourself what you can do with it. (it's under "Camo Spec")

Haven you actually done it? Because it says, unique pattern that cannot be changed.

Yeah i have the Tiger camo on my timbys also the prime Wave 1, the unlock one Tiger camo,
you can change it, after you buyed and so unlock the Camo, you will keep it under > camos> owned. The w1 Camostays on the mech, you cant loose it. just klcik way the buyed camo and put the original colours back on it,
There are also Co,lurs for Cbills , the Basic Colours, good enough to start. you can put th eCamos on your mech, to see how it looks on it. but dont save it,so ou can take a look on the camos how they look on your mech.

p.s: the unlock Camos that you buy for your Timby prime are for ALL Timberwolvs that you have or will buy
unlock one and you have it for all your Timbys

Yes, I have several of those packs. It only replaces the default pattern.

It is also possible to leave the camo pattern and just change the colors, which is what I do with my special mechs.

Those "FAQs" are several years old. That has been changed in the last year and a half or so.

On the left is a Timber Wolf Prime (I)nvasion. Both are set pure Titanium White with Polygon pattern.

Only the "black" parts that you see, aka the "unique" elements, will not change patterns and will just go jet black when you change the camo pattern.

And yes you can save a normal prime (without any "black only" parts as they will be identical to all other variants.)
