i went to play today and i was met with windows saying that the .EXE file was a trojan and deleted it.

even after uninstalling the game and reinstalling it through steam i am having the same issue can anyone help me

Sounds like you have a trojan on your machine thats infecting the programs you use.

So better care in what files you donwload and run on you machine.

Dont click everyting that flashing.

Normal internet stuff.

Run antivirus and antimalware software of choice.. I use Avast and Malwarebytes..

After they clear your system, try tweaking your antivirus to ask you what to do if it discovers stuff, instead of just deleting it automatically, then if it detects the game's exe again, tell it to ignore it..

Alternatively, disable your windows defender / antivirus completely.. it sucks completely, especially on Win10.. use 3rd party programs like Kaspersky, Avast, Norton, ect...

God this reminds me of when I installed a fresh Windows 10 machine and and delayed installing antivirus on it because I had read some things that said Windows Defender was actually pretty decent. Then I visted a website looking for some information about Pokemon Go when I was still playing it and then I get a bunch of popups from fake antivirus telling me my computer is infected. "****." I scanned with Windows Defender and it found and removed a worm. At that point I immediately installed some real antivirus and performed several full system scans both with Windows Defender and my new Antivirus programs. Windows Defender did a good job removing the threat from my system once I realized I was infected but it did absolutely nothing to prevent me from becoming infected in the first place. I guaruntee if I had my current antivirus installed that worm would have never been allowed to install itself in the first place.
