Mal-2P - 2 Guass, 2 SRM6, 6 MPL and the very un-meta xl300 lodged into a Mauler.

Clan side - Uac20, 4 srm6/a Timby. Still works because most people still don't know how to cockpit it.

Some of my non meta mechs that have turned out successful -

4x ATM6, 5x ERML Timberwolf
Poke with lasers, then drop the ATMs as they lock when you're backing back out. 107 potential Damage pokes are impressive on a mech that runs 87. Quad ATM 6s (instead of twin 12s) helps avoid the rabbit ears. Extra ghost heat is rarely a problem due to the pokey play style.

2x UAC10, 6x ML Mauler-2P
For whatever reason, this mech still resonates with me far more than all of the pure "Ballistic boat" IS and clan assaults. Maybe it's the "Hybrid" poke/dakka playstyle it offers, but for whatever reason, it still will smoke people. Plus, the UAC jam quirk means that this thing almost never jams. Dat UAC 10 sound is probably my favorite gun sound in game.

2x RAC5 Marauder-3R
By far my favorite RAC carrier. I Thought that being forced to run with a Standard Engine would doom this mech. Not so much. The high, tightly spaced mounts for these guns mean that I can keep the RAC stream on someone MUCH more easily than I can on most mechs. Additionally, the Frontal profile of the mech makes being forced to Stare someone down far less painful than most mechs. A few ER-MLs as backup compliment the rest of the mech nicely here.

Marauder 3R, Dual AC/5, Quad LPPC. Everyone looking through my cockpit has something negative to say about the build, but I average over 700 points in it in a quickplay. (Average, not "occasionally get".) Weapon group 1 is two LPPC and two autocannon, Weapon group 2 is the other two LPPC and the same autocannon (the AC/5's have roughly half the cooldown of the LPPC's). It's just putting out 20 points of pinpoint damage at 600 meters every 1 second or so even on hot maps.

I don't remember the exact build but mine is the Bandit, hero Mad Dog. 2x LBX10s, and 4 or 5 CERSML. The balistics are kinda low in the torsos so you can't peek well. Position carefully, and wait for a bit of a brawl, then dive in. Can fire the LBXs all day long even on hot maps, the lasers help add a bit of burst. It gets lots of kills if you are patient, and I tend to run up high damage in it. I tried UAC10s on it, but I prefer to peek with them and it just didn't work with how much I had to expose.

The Crab-27 with a standard engine and a load out of medium pulse lasers/heat sinks. It's not fast, can't jump, lacks range/alpha, and has low hard points, but is ridiculously tanky and runs super cool. Requires some patience to shine, but just works if I do my part.

The loyalty Urbie is pure fun, while also consistently putting up solid matches. Rarely have a bad match in it, and have taken top match score way more often than such a silly mech has any right to.

Victor 9A1(L) - triple LBX10, 3 ER smalls, JJ, big engine. Of all my mechs that I am actively using right now, it is currently my second best overall behind the Sleepy. 57 matches, 2.05 KDR, 2.0 W/L, 476 average damage.

And I'm waiting for someone to tell me the LBX-10 or the Victor is meta...

I think the A1 might become pretty meta after cbill release, with 3AC10 though not LBX.

For me, it would have to be the 5 Med Pulse CDA-2B. This mech is an absolutely ferocious brawler with the heat gen and cooldown quirks it currently has.

My trenchback 7K. Run it just like a hunchie with two medium lasers and and a UAC20, works real well for me.

BSW-X2

Play it as a jack of all trades, only get stuck when you want to. Small wiggles to spread damage, and keep in-mind that you are not going to be the hero of the match, just be average, get a couple of KMDD's with back shots and lots of assists.

WHM-6R

Runs hot, but kills things quick... never gets huge damage, but gets 3-4 KMDD (4-5 kills) most matches I take her out in.

Maximum MG urbanmech. I used the thing for the April Fools event in 2017 and I don't know how or why, but every time I took it out I was the best on my team. I don't know if that's a positive comment for the Urbie or a negative comment on the quality of my team.

Although I haven't played one of them since Season 14 and the other since Season 15 (too much laser vomit in my life);

MAD-IIC-D with 2 LB10X, 2 ASRM6, ERPPC. It use an LPL in place of the ERPPC before the skill tree revamp. Does "good enough".

Nova "Breaker" (using the NVA-B LT & LA) with 3 ERML, 1 LPL, 4 LMG. Does about as well as my other 3 Novas. May need to try a HLL in place of the LPL.

I'm taking a break from laser vomit this month (hence my stats tanking), with some mixed builds. Only the Florentine, NCT-C & NCT-D so far, but I have plenty of unplayed 'mechs to get around to. Who knows, maybe I'll start having fun again? That would be nice...

I'm torn between my HBR-F(L), and my Scorch. These two tend to bring the best results for me at the moment.

I would tell you but I don't want it nerfed. Things have gotten Nerf happy, which is not a good thing.
