Assassin nerfs! :X
It's okay for me because I don't play the assassin and I got splatted to death by one once. Though I am sorry for the guys who enjoy it.
[/Baseless Speculation]
EDIT: I'm just speculating by the way. I should make that clear.

You don't have to speculate, PGI is set on nerfing the Assassin. Their position is clear, from Russ' tweets.

Because they want to. Besides, Assassin is already out for C-Bills for quite some time, so PGI is not really losing much.

And then the Critlynx is next.

If enough people cry on Twitter, then yes.

That answer doesn't require Twitter - It was said during Chris's recent interview. The Assassin has rendered the Javelin and Oxide obsolete. They're nerfing the Assassin to make those mechs viable.
So basically they wont be happy until one of the IS Competitive mechs is as useless as a Jenner.

Doesn't their spotty hit detection for missiles render the Oxide obsolete? Not really sure that any other mechs would need to be factored in.

Oh, kinda like assassin legs? it doesnt need nerfs too, right?
lol
Anyways, the Piranha will make Critlynx obsolete by PGI reasoning so it will have to be nerf'd too.
Or is it the Critlynx made the Piranha obsolete so it has to be nerf'd?
Funny that as MEDIUM mech made a LIGHT mech obsolete. With the 'logic' hasnt assaults made all other mechs obsolete?
Nerf 'em.

assassin's legs are much harder to kill than the mist lynx's arms
the rest of the mist lynx doesnt have super screwed up damage registration either
nice try though
but its not at all the same thing
