Oh sure. That happens. We have a list. We update it fairly regularly. But we also are always bringing new people through that don't have any decent mechs. That's what you get with us though. Mix of old timers that know what's going on, but always a few new people.

I saw that Assassin build you posted (I was still using the 21 - so... guilty as charged on that front). I made a note to self to give that variant a spin when I get on tonight.

Limited mechs isn't a major issue. Going over how it all works, is. And the main part.

That said - until you have 8 mechs - training will be kinda, limiting / limited. You need at least 2 drop decks of mechs skilled. That is usually 2-3 months of play, then you also have an understand of the maps too.

Be sure to read earlier in this thread for all that detail / ideas / ways to go and mechs to purchase.

Once you have that, then it's a lot more beneficial

Yes I wouldn't drop in any FP but I want to hear what you have to say. I played MW4 for 5 years and was very good at it but MWO is a different beast and learning curve.

Great success this week. I think 8-10 dudes came along, 2 from last week as well for more practice.

Covered a bunch of introductory topics for a lot of newer dudes. Good stuff. Keep practicing what you learnt/were shown and you will improve, no question.

Once again to the super awesome high skill dudes that came along to help / run lobbies as well because we actually had too many trainees for me to help!

- Navid A1 / Mont / CHARLEMAGNE / YEONNE / KhanBhacKeD / Dithmenos / VorpalAnvil / Toast3r (hopefully didn't miss anyone!)

Really happy with todays turnout and we covered quite a bit for 3.5hrs I think.

What AutoMarshall probably meant to say is that he has a training program that he "borrowed" from HHOD.
Actually, sir, that is incorrect.
From the moment MMAD was established Automarshall strongly insisted that, out of respect he still had for your organization, we will not be using your material - and indeed, we didn't.
We have formulated our own training courses - I wrote a third of them myself - with the goal of being both more condensed and detailed than yours.
It would be dishonest to pretend our knowledge of your training program bore no influence, but the end results are very, very different.

Yeah it's amazing how much ones game play can improve simply from doing adjustments to ingame settings.

It was also interesting to see, and also for those learning, the difference that it can actually make almost immediately with some explaination.

Cannot do Training this week.

Was hoping too, but I'll be out in the afternoon at this stage so cannot committ.

I will try for the following week, same time as previous.

Ok so moving house over the next 2-3 weeks.

Be at the very least, 4 weeks, before I can do anything more. Will update this when I know more

A few dudes have reported back the training is abosolutely helping them so that's some good news.

what day/time did you usually run them? i might be able to pick up some slack and run some groups instead of my solo only play these days.

ASH,

Good luck on the move, I always hated having to pack stuff up and then unpack at the new place. Done plenty of that; thanks, US Army!

Anyway, I just stumbled upon this thread after being gone for a week, and I must say that your offer to train less experienced pilots is a generous and noble one. It shows your commitment to this game and the community, and I thank you for that. We need more experienced players to have this mindset IMHO.

I'll be watching closely for when you are back at it, as I plan to join in - I would certainly like to improve my mediocre skills!

Ok finally an update.

Moved house however the acoustics in the room make me sound like I am in an echo chamber. I should have it fixed in the next 2-3 days so people can hear me clearly. Once I know that it is fixed - I'll work out another training session for people etc. Probably in 9-10 days which is a weekend for me.

Stay tuned!

Have you tried a baffle or "sock" for your mic?

That's got nothing to do with room acoustics.
