I got both suicide and death from above in the same match. Running around top speed in the desert in the com 2d apparently you can ramp yourself into the lower parts of the map from being higher elevation. Skirmish match about mid match I was running with spl and two srm2s on chain fire just shooting any enemy in range.

Took a lot of laser sweeps to the legs to turn them red ran full tilt into f6 and landed on an enemy with a red ct killing both legs and his red ct.

Another time I was using the K2 dual 20 build with two smls in the arm laser mounts. Ran out of ammo in a heated brawl. Since I wasn't moving, shooting or torso twisting a dragon thought I shut down and came face to face with my mech. I pew pew the smls and get a head shot into the dragon.

I just today started using the Assassin-21 that's been sitting in the garage. My first half dozen drops were horrible. Torsos were popping off left and right. I was getting oneshot a couple times. I finally said "wtf" and took it back to the garage to look it over... LOL I was running around with stock armor. I was so anxious to get on the field with it that I forgot to max out the armor. Duh.

A couple nights ago I was in my Sleipnir on high ground on Ruby and fell through a hole... right on top of two enemy lances. That was a short match.

For about a month, every time I dropped into a match, my targeting reticle would, ever so slightly, drift to the left. If I didn't constantly scroll my mouse over the right, my mech would eventually torso twist all the way to the left. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my mouse, but when I exited a match, the cursor didn't drift at all.

I spend days searching the net trying to find out if there was some setting in game or in Windows to recalibrate my mouse. It became infuriating. I almost went to the store to buy a new mouse, but then, after about a month, it hit me....

I had a wired Xbox controller hooked up to the computer and there was a notepad sitting on top of it. When I moved the notepad, the right thumbstick re-centered and the drifting reticle stopped.

Heh... I use a joystick to drive and the mouse to aim; my joystick is a truly ancient piece of crap (but well-broken-in, comfortable crap) that I've been using since Battlefield 1942 was hot news. It drifts pretty badly unless I go through a full range of motion on my first drop to calibrate it; after that it's fine. I have occasionally forgotten to do that and spent entire matches wondering why my 'Mech was pulling to the left... usually only when I'm drunk off my ***, though; otherwise I've gotten used to it and normally do a testing grounds drop at the start of the night to get it sorted out before it becomes an issue.

I'm still warming up to my new mouse, though- I haven't had one with on-the-fly DPI adjustment in a long time, so shots have been going places I didn't intend them to because I hit the wrong button at the wrong time and jacked the sensitivity off the charts to the reflex brawling setting, when I should've lowered it for precision sniping instead. That caused a bit of, how say, spontaneous unintentional back-scratching the last time I was on.

Jumped over a hill with my Assassin, using up all my fuel, and landed right in front of 12 flanking enemies. I think I survived for about 3 seconds. Assassin OP.

There shoud be an Achievement and merit badge for this !!!! Been there, doine that and the radio call is I'm: Oscar Sierra (Oh sheet.)

My favorite is working in mech lab and then, forgetting the next day to change the mech and dropping with it and wonder why the weapons aren't firing for the first 15 seconds...

I did this too. Had a joystick hooked up for flight sim games that I hadn't played in over a year. The joystick was so forgotten that it had fallen behind the computer desk. Evidently I nudged it with my foot once and knocked the throttle setting out of neutral into reverse. That was a fun couple of games (and a PGI help ticket) until I figured it out.

I brought my close-range drop deck into a match in polar highlands. In the final round I was marching down the hills getting C-ERLL'ed to death in my Atlas where I couldn't even reach any of them.

I was playing the Kodiak with 4 lbx 10's for the second time since I got it. I turned a corner into 4 or 5 assaults/heavies on rubellite oasis under a bridge or whatever at full speed. I quickly discovered how slowly the mech decelerates and reverses.

Any time I try and play the game properly I derp so I tend to stick to my wild fun builds. At least that way when I derp in a spider, nobody notices Posted Image Posted Image

It warms my heart to see decent players talk of derps. No one is immune to derps it would seem in this game.

Tourmaline desert. Assault. Playing a commando. My team get destroyed but I managed to kill their last light much. Leaving them only a heavy and 2 assaults. Looking around I notice the cap and run over and stand on it. Only way we are going to win. Right? So the cap bar never moves. I am thinking "I am not taking damage. I am inside the lines. Why the hell isn't it capping? Well anyway the heavy and assaults show up an love me. Already hurt. But I should have capped out already. So I start saying on comma. Which were dead silent the whole time. PGI ant their broken freaking game. Why the heck was my capping working? " then this voice comes {LT-MOB-25} "dude that was our cap. We thought you were guarding it. " doh!

Sorry did this on my phone. Big fingers and all.

Dropping in a mech for months than noticing in the lab that it had stock back armor! I could have used those 60+ points in the front!

Happened the other day. Knew where the enemy team was in my Orion IIC brawler so I crested a ridge to get closer only to bump into an Enforcer way out of position. Was so excited by the easy kill that I didn't notice the rest of the team on the ridge taking easy shots at me. That game ended quickly!
