Add Wolf Dragoons, Gray Death Leagon And Elh To Allow Is To Use Omni Mech's

Greetings Mechwarriors.

For long time we have asked for IS Omni mech's. and for a wile PGI has hinted at them coming, with the Fafnir coming, I think it's time that add in new Factions to allow IS pilots to use Captured Clan Omni's until we get Inner Sphere Omni's of our own.

I propose PGI add in new Factions like Wolves Dragoons, the Gray Death Legion and other prominent mercenary units who early on captured Clan Omni's in the early days of the invasion.

To maintain balance, I recommend that Factions like Wolves Dragoons and such, are allowed to use 2 Clan mech's, and 2 IS mech's, However mounting a 100 ton mech (A dire wolf for example) means you can only mount a medium or a light.

I also think that PGI should change the Drop deck system to allow only One mech per class. which ends the Linebacker rush garbage you sometimes run into without taking a good mech and making it suck

This would tide players over until we get IS Omni's like the Templar and Humptaman.

What do you mean one mech per class? You couldn't prevent 12 guys from bringing the same mech for so many reasons...forming a group would be impossible for one.

Oh and for some weird reason you are going to get clam guys who are dead against anything that would even the field. Before CW was gutted, clans did not fight each other anywhere near as often as IS. This was at the height of clan being OP as well...12 man Kodiak rushes and all. I'd see clan guys freak out when they lost to IS because they just weren't supposed to.

So can't wait to hear the die hards who hate a fictional side in a video game come up with excuses why this can't happen.

i believe he meant one mech per class per dropdeck per player. theres 4 classes and 12 players, the way your taking it is impossible.

I see people pack there decks with 2 or more of the same class like 1 Mist linx, one Nova, then 2 Linebackers. That's what i'm talking about when I say force only one per class. I know the "Meta" and "MLG pro" players will hate it. But this is more about letting IS players play Clan mech's with new factions (because most hard core FP players have maxed there ranks out) that's what we need. and IS needs more incentive (more C-bills and XP) to draw in the players. When Civil war dropped. IS was stomping, then the hype died and players went back to the factions that get them the most in game money. and right now that's the Clans.

Proposal idea: Not bad, I guess

Proposal idea likelyhood of happening: Never

Why: Simply - Balance.


This is a bad idea for so many reasons I cannot even go into. PGI are making the game stale as a 5 day old bread roll ATM with balance, quirk removal/desync etc (TBR is dead, Locust 1V is dead... etc). Allowing IS to run Clan mechs will break it more so than the Balance Overlords are right now.

Come on guys - get realistic with suggestions. I don't mean that in a rude way, but some of the stuff that gets posted makes me think people are banging 15 magic mushies into their head before posting. It's just illogical.

I was rambling on discord off the top of my (nonexistent) head about how wonderful it would be if faction tonnage could be adjusted to become something like

IS - 265
Clan - 250 (like before)
Mercs - 240, but they get to use a mix of IS/Clantech.

Not that it would ever happen.

some of us tried very hard to make that happen, and we did get it going for about a month.

Plenty of screenshots of us beating 12 man davion lurmers. No need. Also no worry, monthly clan nerf patc on the way.

Complains about the linebacker rush while playing IS which has the Assassin rush, light rush and can drop with 2 assaults. LMAO
