Thing On Top Of Mech Models?

Hi everyone. I've been using the converter software, to put the mechwarrior mech models into Blender to create fan art, but I've got a question if anyone can help me out:

On top of all the mech models, there is a model piece which can be kept or deleted, which is like a little round pod or something, sticking up from the top of the model.

In the attached screenshot, you can see a rounded pod-thing on the Awesome's shoulder. What is this thing? I don't see it on other pictures of Battlemechs.

It is an AMS(Anti-Missle System). Good to have in LRM alley aka Polar Highlands.
