The optics might be better, but your group is the only one I see advocating for that. Others like JuJu's FW crew, EVIL, etc. say a reduction is needed, but not to the point of being the same. Usually it's a 5-10 ton reduction recommendation.

Completely and totally irrelevant. How many times must you be shown the empirical evidence that the ghost heat doesn't reduce the output on the Clan version? Even after the heat nerf, 5x cERLL fired 3+2 will out-sustain 5x isERLL. Even 6x cERLL fired 3+3 will out-sustain 5x isERLL.
The bigger deal is that the Clans have no 'Mechs with 5x energy hardpoints mounted up high, which has nothing to do with heat and can't even be solved by messing with it. The BLR with 6x is the top ERLL range trader in the game despite having worse heat management than anything else doing something similar, and that's entirely because of its hardpoints.

Distance matters. 750 meters 50+10 PPFLD, super broken. Shuts down
everything. 50 PPFLD at 250 meters, niche status. Really good in a restricted range of situations. If you were to ask somebody like Writhenn, he'd say it wasn't quite enough of a buff (I am not sure I agree with that assessment, mind you...if it got to even 300 meters base range it would be very, very strong).

LGauss? Really? So now that LGauss has comparable DPS with a standard cGauss that weighs the same, but still only half the alpha, the flexibility of taking a Gauss that doesn't weigh 3 tons more for zero practical benefit over cGauss in exchange for one that is at-best equal to cGauss (I'm being generous) is somehow too good? I have spent a lot of time trying to make LGauss work. I can put up decent games with it, but the amount of work it takes is so much higher than UAC/2 or ERLL that it's not worth it and if your team doesn't hold you have no surge DPS to fall back on.
RACs...because cUAC DPS can't be matched with isUAC DPS. Not that I'd ever use a RAC.
MRMs...ATMs.
