Almost as exciting as [07]'s triple Linebacker wave gen rushes.

160 kph with nodes, 12 DPS unaffected by map heat, and only 20 tons to sacrifice.

A41 Assassin rushes, MS crab rushes, bacon LBK rushes

now they'll just use piranhas

same sh*t different day, when you see incursion come up, you expect there's a good chance it's going to be a total waste of time, when you see one of the "rush teams" on your side or the enemies you know it will be a 3 minute building shooting simulator, nothing to be done shy of dumping the game mode, or making covered buildings like o-gens/stronger turrets

Except (MS) never do it to kill off the base. We do it for effective tonnage trading, by butt ****** heavier mechs--that is the priority, and then do damage to the base with the leftovers, but we never use Crab rush for the sole intent of destroying the base. Unless the other team is racing us.

People should know that by now.

Maybe when ur there to talk sense into the team. Ms going straight base rush in incursion happens regularly.

Their the size and speed of a locust. Dual heavy gauss it up and youll be 1 shoting them.

How to win incursion get group off fast mech with high damage and low heat. The mode itself was cancer from the start the mechs mentioned are simply the most effective at it. As long the mode exist the snake will always regrow it head.

It simply Invasion but easy mode for gen rush specialist since you can shoot it at all angles and they so flimsy.

Its the fastest way to get out of that mode and into a decently fun one though.

Secure victory THEN play with food.

That way, get the win and the enemy can pew pew, still going to be 48-24 or less, but your going to be able to make pretty lights and sounds first.

I have plenty of video and screenshot evidence to show that that's not how those drops usually go. More like run into base, ignore enemy mechs, shoot buildings, drop over in 3 minutes, gg

Depends on the map too.

If Clans want to play LERMS and Max Range on a couple of maps that encourage it, I will deny use of that advantage.

War is hell and under no obligation to be nice.

you do it because you damn well know there's no stopping it, just like the other guys are gonna do it now with the piranhas (or really even now with chetas/lynxes)

it's hard to stay mad at the teams that do it, I mean technically it's what the game mode is, and if it allows avoiding fighting completely, some people will do that to get the quick win, or because they don't think they can outfight the opfor, though personally I don't understand the appeal of such a game, but I guess some people want to fight stompy robots, others want to finish the drop with a win in the least amt of time disregarding all other considerations. Unless the game mode is removed or fixed so you can't just building rush, this will keep happening

Incursion has been broken in FW since it dropped. The first team that discovered how to “base rush” (probably day one) put the mode on the inevitable course to were it is now. where it’s common to see teams base race each other...heck, even if a team would prefer to fight it’s really “safer” (but not fun) to set up a deck to rush.....as otherwise your opponent might very well set up to base rush you and it’s very hard to stop a determined rush team from either side (is/clan). Incursion is a great idea in theory for FW. but the base needs a major rework to be viable for a 48 opponent mode. Base just needs to be a much “harder target” to get to where the mode should be (if they keep it in). I want to like the mode, but if it is going to stay in FW PGI needs to find the balance of making the base important to protect (so as to not be the same as skirmish) , but not nearly impossible to protect (against pure rushers).

Or, maybe, people know the Clan advantage in combat and refuse to allow that advantage to be used.

By playing enough, you can see pattern and habit.

For example;

I may know you, as example, like to bring ERLL, PPCs, and Ultra10/5s. I will use that knowledge to inform my team and use it against you. Just like people know if you see ATM mechs, you rush them and watch them crumple as the walk backwards.

The problem is not with the Piranha, Assassin, Linebacker, or Crab. The problem is with the Incursion game mode. Has nothing to do with clan/IS balance.

They need to buff the bases for CW as those bases aren't built to survive four waves.

One of those units is not like the others... And by that I mean as long as there is SOME objective to the map, it will be rushed.

Pretty sad.
