Looks super cool, almost ready to open my wallet... but my inner voice of reason keeps whispering: "60-degree torso yaw, Kodiak-level mobility"... No way PGI are going to let a mech with this kind of high ballistic mounts run rampant without some sort of heavy handicap.

Nah..., MCII's agility would be appropriate.

It can mount 4x UAC/5 all on high mounts but not 2UAC/10+2UAC/5. 2x Gauss up there (a bit too high) but the lasers hang low.

Not sure how good high mounted 3UAC/5+2ERPPC will be to warrant it to have trash level mobility.

I'm tempted to buy, but I'm sure it'll just get nerfed to **** later on if it happens to be any good at launch.

Warhammer IIC and Phoenix Hawk IIC (yep, 80 tons) are great options.

Wow, looks scarily good!
I was expecting an IS light, but this was easily the most in-demand assault mech.

Which mech do you guys wonna see next for: I feel like the Lollander could be next. We'll see.

Honestly? Your polls fell heavily biased... :/

I recommend these instead.

to built my Variant G.

Yes, it was introduced in 3069!

It's an omnimech, meaning that, except for the CT, you can replace the omnipods in your hero.

Are you sure it's an omni?checked on Sarna and found nothing about that,
i fear it's a Clan mech like Kodiak and Marauder IIC

@Anavel Gato2: Omni, from TRO:3060, pages 182-183... has prime and A to D.

Wanted to ask someone for clarification.

It's been a good while since I bought a mech pack.
I see the premium time noted as (active).

Using logic, I'm guessing that obviously means the 30/60 days is not banked?
Why is it not banked time?
Thought mech packs always came with banked time?

If it is indeed not banked, when does the time start?
At purchase? When the mech is released?
Or when the mech is recieved?

Sorry for the barrage of questions.
Only premium time I've ever bought was via mech packs and it was always banked.
That active note made me pause and stop from buying the $40 pack.
It's still a good value. But having to have two months active straight is likely a deal killer for me.

Thanks for any insight, more detailed the better, anyone can provide.

Things changed with Civil War pack, 10 months ago.
Check Civil War Forum, was a long discussion.

If you look at the announcement page you'll see that the stats of the Blood Asp features no "max engine rating" and has fixed equipment (e.g. fixed structure).
That is a clear indicator for an omni-mech.

The Kodiak has a 1 to 5 designation, the Marauder IIC an A to D designation, the Supernova a 1, 3 A and B variant....
that "prime" and that "max engine rating" are the clearest indicator up to now, thks.

The best way to tell is to go down the page to the Hardpoints. It will either say Hardpoints or Omnipod Hardpoints.

Dude. .it's an omnimech. 100% sure. The sale page says omnipod hardpoints..

Those A-D variants of Battlemechs are PGi made up variants. If the first variant is Prime, and then the rest are letters, it's an omni ;)

Oh look another clan mech with extremely high hard points that totally isn't going to have a major impact on balancing issues .

Uh the presence of the MCII makes it extremely unlikely this is going to have an impact on balancing issues.

So many drama queens...

Vote now, what walk will we see?

King Crab/Stalker/Night Star?

Would be the first Clan mech to use it.

Dire Wolf / Warhawk?

Timber Wolf / Cataphract?

It'd be hilarious if it got the Locust/Adder/Kit Fox/Raven+ walk.
