That's kinda what I was getting at... They would be extended in length to match the concept, but not double the height of the weapon housed in them like they are now.

I broke down and bought some Blood Asps and I am liking them more and more as I play them. They are very squishy for an assault Mech and run hot unless you keep the Gauss Rifles. I had to swap out my Gauss Rifles for UAC10s since I am not good with Gauss Rifles, but it works. Maybe when I finish leveling it, the heat will be more manageable.

I hate the Clan Nerfs, but I am determined to make the Blood Asp Prime my main assault. I really only care about four of my Mechs now, my Blood Asp, my Summoner, my Centurion and my Highlander IIC. Each of my favorites works for me (not always though).

They could make the weapon pods extendable by using the weapon door functionality. So everyone could play the weapon door model he want. Give us the possibility to set a default Setting in the mechlab and everyone could start with weapon pods in the right position. (And nobody will forget to open his weapons gates again)

I would hate to have to toggle an extra key every match, that would just irritate me. I know the pods don't look as cool as the originals, but they are huge and even the most unskilled player can hit them from the other side of the map without even aiming, so I understand why they made them smaller.

Ok, my final verdict is that the Blood Asp is basically the same as the MKII and only good for players who like to sit in the back and snipe. I finally gave up on mine and bought a Fafnir and I don't regret it.

I am glad that it works for you, but it is just not the Mech for me (as much as I wanted it to be.
