The Marauder MAD-3R comes stock with Magna Hellstar PPCs. Just buy one and transfer the PPCs to your other mechs!

I mean, lower lasers.. less tonnage available due to locked 360.. Gauss in STs for MG fodder... There are some drawbacks.

It also has ECM, but as far as uniqueness goes, the Blood Asp doesn't seem to have any. There aren't any hard point combinations that scream awesome. It's also a 90 tonner, which is an over-saturated weight class.

One of my favorite mechs.. I really with Mechpacks were not so bloody (asp) expensive.. I would consider getting one..

Visually looks amazing, and if they don't botch the animations or make the Gauss stick out of the shoulder pods like on the stupendously ridiculous cougar, it will look amazing in-game too..

It's a shame only the hero variant can mount any descent amount of LRM, but it will probably be ERPPC and laser mech anyway..

Its my favorite weight bracket.

I like that it can do a 3 UAC5 2 ER PPC all torso mounted loadout.

ECM is meh. Its nice for the yolo queue because spuds ignore you and you don't have to worry about neckbeards LRMing you as much I guess.

You mean Gauss vomit? Honestly I think some different ballistic/PPC combinations are where this will shine but we'll see.

I wonder if by adding this mech they're signaling inclusion of new tech. I remember the BA using the long tom weapon system at least in game. Not sure if that's cannon or if cannon really matters at all.

Only catch is those weapon mounts will be exposed before it can return fire... And well ECM is great and all, but doesn't protect you from direct fire weapons....

I assume he's talking about MW4, which enabled many mechs to mount Long Toms due to its specific hardpoint system and lack of TT critslot requirements. The Blood Asp could carry two of them in that game.

MechCommander 2, you could slap a pair of Long Toms on them in one of the later missions.

Ah, ok. I thought he was talking about a game that had a stock Blood Asp with Long Toms.

If the barrier for inclusion is just what someone mechlab'ed ages ago, well... we have quite a few Long Tom capable mechs already. This one's hardly different.
