Are you saying that Marxists and the thin skinned are inherently bad at video games.

Because if so that offends me so much that I'm going to seize your means of production!

Yeah. I'm sure that people who are bad at listening are also bad at a lot of other things.

Oh, snap, son, you got me, I'm not good at a video game! That invalidates everything I've ever said!

BTW, I've seen you in game, and you don't impress me. If you fail to impress someone with my record, what's that say?

We've turned an aesthetic thread about the ingame cockpit into a stat shaming, 'SJW' witch hunting **** show. I hope you're all proud of yourselves.

Y'know, I just think it's sad that standing up for the females I served with somehow makes me a SJW/Marxist/cuisineart/thing.

No I'm just looking at the correlation of being a useless drag to everyone both in-game and in the political landscape. And I've never seen you in-game, you were probably so inconsequential to our victory that I didn't notice you.

Fun fact: you have about 3 times the matches I have

The fact that you equate that perfectly logical previous poster to someone who yells "cultural marxism" and then fails to even understand the meaning of said term is sad and makes me wonder why you keep typing.

And I wager I have more real-world military experience than you do, as does every female I served beside. But, hey, make more jokes about how they don't serve, right? And, yes, we have seen each other in-game. I'm the guy trying to get the team to actually fight while people like you hang in the back and try to convince yourself that the key to winning is camping.

Oh yes, since I'm camping all the time I never get kills and never get a positive win rate, which means that statistically I am a variable that increases win chances. That's attained by camping, yes. Especially when I play Atlases mostly and I'm always camping give me a break.

Yes, your military experience is very relevant to this conversation. I also want to let you know that the vast majority of armies that have ever existed did not employ or employed an extremely small amount of women. Furthermore, in modern armies they are normally put into positions that are non-combative. Finally, the women that try to enter combative roles are statistically proven (specifically mentioning Israeli and American armies) struggling and failing physical tests, so much so that the strength and endurance requirements for female soldiers is reduced so they can actually pass. The U.S. military has also written official reports explaining the inefficiency and liabilities associated with arming women for combat. They are weaker than men, specifically in height and upper body strength since they do not have testosterone in their endocrine systems, and are also prone to less aggressive behavior a due to the lack of testosterone in their endocrine system.

So my point is that it is silly to have females represented in the battlefield when they hardly capable of doing so and are barely represented in combat roles in any army.

No amount of hypotheticals, "what ifs" or anecdotal information that you provide will debunk any of this.

Now these are old 3025 style, and apparently no longer canon, currently the canon styles are found on HBS website

Ooh! Are we having a stats-based ****-measuring contest with people we disagree with politically as if that were relevant to any conversation? Let me try!

https://leaderboard....t+LRM+me+please

Huh. Looks like my stats are better than yours. Does that mean I'm right and you're wrong?

Jackass.

Specifically, the ones on the HBS website are Kurita designs, with a strikingly similar nature to the original Kurita designs made in the same era as those other images. The only groups to have proper uniforms were Mariks, Kurita and Steiner. Oh and Davion apparently.

Mercs could effectively wear whatever they want, just how much they wear depends on their personal comfort within the mech.

But there were no full body cooling suits.

They vary between full uniforms and cooling vests with minimal clothing.

You can also find in a similar year to these various images, the Mercenaries handbook was released. Outfits varied quite a bit.
Posted Image
(The above is not an example of something from that book... other than the artwork basically being similar The actual image I was going to pull is actually of a mercenary infantryman).

But for the most part, the cooling vest doesn't change terribly much; it's a vest.
The helmet does vary, however, depending on the model.

Posted Image
Still a vest. Still powered by the belt.
(There is a specific Kurita uniform somewhere in there. Much of the campaign centers around Kurita and surrounding periphery space.)

Because exposing lots of skin while sitting in a cramped cockpit with lots of hot metal surfaces is a great idea. It's totally not for the benefit of horny teenagers this nonsense was trying to attract in the 80s.

Look, some aspects of Battletech are worth keeping. Some are not.
