The only thing that seariously drives of players is that the game has gotten pretty stale and boring.

The same all deathmatch game modes in qp for years, the same maps for years, fp is either get unorganized trial mech pilots or overorganized minmax abusing meta build wh...s to play with.

Considering most people just want deathmatch anyway, I'm doubtful that that's the reason why many leave. But with how much I see people complaining about getting ownzoned by some team that's way better than them, I'm assuming that they quit after getting beat down enough times if they aren't someone who just loves a hard challenge.

With a PSR system, adding tiers will, at best, accomplish nothing, and at worst, increase search times since the population is divided into more, smaller buckets. If we presuppose that a PSR system the best way to do matchmaking, then the most significant change would be to allow for more downward mobility, and include weight class or even chassis into the consideration.

Most who wanted more than deathmatch left a long while ago, but people have requested it since beta but PGI has never delivered. They have claimed they did several times, so my conclusion is that PGI doesn't grasp the concept. But they might get some of those players back if they some day trip over a game design book and accidentially read it.
But no, instead we are getting deathmatch but now 1v1 and 2v2. Are even the deathmatch players wanting more deathmatch?

Yes, the PSR system needs to be retuned. So far PGI seems to have forgotten about it entirely. I suggest everyone who actually cares about improving the PSR system to tweet Russ about it. If everyone swamps Russ' twitter with the same issue, he will have to respond. Just like Dane's video.

Link your twitter post so we can re-tweet it. ;)

I just made tier 3 and well i'm considering quitting.. I just cannot beat those people and frankly don't want to be stomped every match.. I was happy in tier 4 winning occasionally.. Now i'm stomped every match, why am i wasting my time in a game to be gun fodder for players vastly superior to me...

If you don't like or belong in t3, you won't stay long, especially if you get stomped constantly.
On a.contrary note, I just made T2 and am finding it easier to win with more seemingly organised & experiences players.
Now, I'd intentionally kept myself in T3 ( not taking the kill shot or component farming) because i felt T3 had the most diverse group of players (exp & skill wise) and shorter wait times. Butvsince i made the conscious decission to up my game and progress up to T2 the game's been a.lot more fun to me..

While I like the idea, in theory, I don't think more tiers will.do any more than increase wait times or cause valves to open giving us the same situation were in now.

T3 is generally the worst tier to be in. You get a huge mix of skills there between people moving up and being the filler tier, so you never know how a match will go and you never know if you can trust your team to do anything or not and you just suddenly have a few shark players mixed in here and there but no one is really organized to focus fire on them, so they just can farm through a team unopposed.

T1's pretty stable in comparison. Teams move more as one, pushes happen on time as they should, there's opportunities for various mechs, people actually stop NASCARing if they realize they have mechs too slow for it. Its pretty neato.

Either add new tiers or let us lock ourselves into a tier we feel comfortable with.

First off, many of us have 'been there and done that' and earned that Got Stomped merit badge.... There should be a MWO badge for the Got Stomped crowd (a giant mech foot crushing an ant sized mech). A large number of new players have quit and I run into them in other games they are playing....

All tiers are having the same issues... It's not just your experience; we all are frustrated by the mess low player population created... There is nothing you can do either cause "get GuD" isn't the solution to a miss matched team....

Stay till Solaris drops. I'd betcha a Coke that MWO will react and evolve.
