Am I realy the only one who noticed that Osiris standard variants are overpriced?
I mean Javelin, wich is also a 30 ton Is mech, has the follwoing prices: 950, 950, 925, 1060,1250 and 2250 for the hero.

The Javelin has Standard Engines, while the Osiris has XL engines. So the Osiris is more expensive. It's as simple as that.

Look at the prices on the Jenner.
Or look at the Black Jack....
Standard variants never cost more then the Hero.

Every Mech's MC cost is based on the C-Bill value of all of it's components and upgrades that are installed on the variant. A Hero Mech has additional costs for being a special variant with a 30% C-Bill bonus.

Hero mechs MC price is based purely on tonnage and Omni-Status.

75mc per ton for Battlemechs, a little more for omnis.

Regular mech MC price is based purely on components involved though, so it is very possible for a regular variant to cost more than the hero.

Osiris also has DHS, Endo and Ferro.

Ok thx for clearing that up.
Anyway the pricing end result is strange.
OSiris wont be a top in game performer and it will definitely not be a top sales performer either.

As for you asking why you don't see any Osiris: every thing it can do, another light can do better.

For some reason the javelin is much sturdier than the Osiris (might have to do with hitboxes), and has good hard points, being the same tonnage, allowing for missile boating and laser builds. The only thing Osiris shines at, is mixing weapons. Honestly, I rather take a commando as they are much more survivable at that too.
The main reason I bought the osiris package, is 1 month of premium time and 3 XL engines. If not for that, I would have passed on buying it for $. For C-bills, well, if you have all other mechs already, why not? Gotta catch m All.

If y'all wanted to use the event to encourage players to pay MC for an Arctic Wolf to participate, you should have boosted the prizes for it. Give something meaningful, like the cbills plus a mech bay or a war horn (or all 3).

Maybe make up a special prize for when the MC mechs come out and you include them in that month's contest. Give like 8000 GXP as a prize on those mechs too. (which btw, you should already be doing for anyone loyal enough to keep buying mech packs.)

Then you can make the victory condition something fairly demanding, that will require the typical player 8-10 matches to get it.
