It would've been nice if they included the Alternate E as one of the standard or reinforcement variants so that we could have energy mounts in the right torso. PGI seems to have left that out on purpose so that they could sell you an RT energy mount in the hero mech...

Oh boy we actually finally got it. Got me worried on how bad they'll nerf it though, after the last super high mount ballistic mech got hit.

But yeah, I'll bite, ECM, dual gauss, 2 HLL and 4 ERML. If they go and blast the weapon systems to pieces before it comes out then I'll just refund my preorder.


This thing was up there as one of my favorites back in MW4 with the Kodiak, Executioner, and Shadow Cat.

Doing a quick glance at it, I think the BAS-B is going to be the best version for hill hump work. With either the Prime or the BAS-D for general usage.

I'm a little confused as to the change, tbh. The original had Catapult or Cataphract-style reverse joints, not... These. Not complaining about the change, just a little perplexed.

That said, even if the Blood Asp is my favorite Clan Assault in existence after the Viking IIC, I'm honestly a little split on whether or not I want to pay for it or just get it for Ceebs. It's likely going to be a good mech, but after a few recent experiences, I'm unsure on whether or not I want to keep running assaults regardless of tech base. Also, I can't run quad SRM-6A in the arms and that makes me sad.

Looks like what the madcat would look like if it was an IS mech.
Im kinda disapointed. This mech is my HERO. MINE. MYYY HERO.... and they made it blocky.


also, WHERE THE HELL ARE MY PLASMA PPCS?! this mech is effectively neutered without them.

The E even has jumpjets in the legs, so there really wasn't a particularly good reason to include the A over it. I'm sure the 'mech'll be fine without it, though.

Plasma PPCs don't exist in canon, they were made up for Mechassault 2 only.

Although I think it might be interesting if CGL did try to canonize that weapon system, I wonder how they'd even be different from normal PPCs...

If you think that's bad, wait until you hear how much Mechassault ruined the Blood Asp in the first place. This is a godsend by comparison.

Also, as stated, PLASMA PPCS DO NOT EXIST.

Lame...thing is going to suck, you're not going to be able to splash damage from torso to torso.
You think the "ears" on the MKII get shot off? Wait till that thing hits the game.

EDIT: oOOOo ECM is a nice touch though, but still won't help its hitboxes.

So its the same tonnage, speed and similar hardpoints of a madcat mkII just with higher gauss hardpoints... Gee.
