We really need a quick command say that the area looks clear. It is the intel that is most relevant. Just as 'I have a visual' which is useful, when you cant target a mech or only glimpse it very briefly.

Seriously. That is more important than a 'thank you' which is much appreciated, but of tertiary importance at best in the heat of combat.

Give me:

1. 'Area looks clear'

and...

2. 'I have a visual on a/multiple target(s)

I'd also like commands for retreat or charge.

Retreat? I prefer to do this. Turn mech away and start running, then scream over coms, "RUN AWAY!!!" After I have a head start.

Yeah the quickchat options are lackluster. I'd like the ability to issue specific "commands" when I have my crosshair over a friendly, when I want to quickly thank them or to ask them in particular to follow me.

Also a "behind you!" command.

Those lists are supposed to be fast and easy to use and by the time you put all the common phrases "you might need" it becomes horridly bloated and a bit useless. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything by saying this but if you want that kind of complexity, get a mic. It's the only way you're going to cover all the bases.

Both these commands are useless. "Area looks clear" is useless since if it wasn't clear you'd see a red dot on the map, and "I have a visual on multiple targets" will be useless since your teammates would normally see a bunch of red dots in the map flicker if there was multiple targets spotted. If they are so stupid they don't even look at the map I highly doubt they'll be able to figure out where your signals are coming from anyway, they'll just know some guy somewhere saw multiple targets.

We tried that earlier, when they first came out with the command wheel, but they thought "I need a proctologist! STAT!" was to vague.

Faster and much more clear than a command wheel comment.

part of me wants something like an "i'm pushing" command, but i know that for every person who would use it correctly there'd be a thousand suicidal morons who would constantly abuse it.

I'd say the command wheel needs an "Everybody scatter!!" option... but pugs already do that anyway, no need to reinforce behavior they are already engaged in

Yea, not like anyone will abuse the ____ out of it, like they have done in other games.
