Just got back after a long hiatus of 2 week, see this sale, seeking opinions of the Arctic Wolf, Timberwolf and Thunderbolt heroes thanks!
Arctic Wolf hero seems to be a laser build, a tad disappointed.
Thunderbolt looks great size-wise and has 9 laser hardpoints wow.
Timberwolf is a popular mech, so why not?

The ACW hero doesn't get to benefit from the primary strength of the chassis (missile spam) and even if it did there's still the durability issue.
The TBR is mediocre in general thanks to bad agility and easily focused ears.
This leaves you with the Thud, which is certainly going to be the most durable of the bunch thanks to its quirks.

Blood Kit i've found success with either x4 cERML or x4ERSL (depending on how hot you want to go) with cLB20-X (cXL255)
Top Dog i forget what STD engine i run, but also found success changing my x5 ML / x2 LPL to x5 ML / x3 LL. It's a good mech.
Warrant is the bottom of the barrel TBR, nothing in the CT so it's automatically behind the other variants in terms of some builds. To add on that the mobility sucks and you're generally better off with any other clan heavy.

Thud and Warrant
Blood Kite is fun to play around with, just doesn't do anything particularly well.

The Arctic wolf hero is one of the weaker variants. It has the wrong mix of hardpoints and location to be useful.
The warrant has cool paint and a right torso omni with a laser hardpoint with no agility negative. Beyond that it does not offer much.
The top dog is really good. Super tanky and it has better baseline agility than pretty much any worthwile vomit mech, while almost reaching the offensive ability of the warhammer or grasshopper. Its tied with the IV 4 for best inner sphere heavy that doesnt have WHM or GHR in its name
