I wish PGI all the best on Solaris and I hope I'm wrong about how it will turn out. There's some fun ideas in there.

However 1v1 and 2v2 are way, way less forgiving and have 0 room for LRMs, l33t snyperz, lore builds, "I dont do meta" and anyone who uses pug armor. Thats a lot of players.

Since the description of the game mode in the road map says it's going to be using ELO, that shouldn't be a problem. After a dozen or so matches, you'll likely be close to the point where every match you have a 50/50 chance of winning or losing depending on how well you and your opponent are playing in that specific match.

I'm really hoping that's true, btw. I despise the current PSR, and hence matchmaker, and hence leaderboard with the heat of a thousand blue hypergiant stars!

I don't care about Solaris. I care about the existing MWO having a graphic engine upgrade away from CryEngine and faction warfare having player suggestions worked on. That's what I would have given money for, honestly. Not this.

Until someone says Flamers aren't allowed in Solaris, I'm not going to touch it with a ten foot pole. Eventually someone will develop a macro for them and All Fun Will Die. Once they finally ban Flamers... I probably still won't touch it because I doubt I'll be able to hold a candle to the really talented marksmen that will populate the mode.
