With the exception of the Urbie which has unique features, I look at most of that pack as a chance to replace mechs I like (except the Atlas) with c-bill boosted and shiny skinned versions.

So while I agree with the OP that there isn't a whole lot of new here, it's still a decent value at $30 just for the c-bill boosts. Toss in the freebie warhorns and decals, and ya, why not.

Also, I actually really do want the fast jumpy Ubie.

But the Atlas can go rot in the same heap as my other Atmuchlesses.

Disappointed they didn't use Solaris mechs from lore, or at least one or two. I suppose it was too much to ask for those new chassis to be included when using pre-existing in game chassis is easier than making an effort.

The camos are pretty good though. I really like where they got their inspiration from.

You should see what she does with that.

I guess, thanks for trying but...

Griffin 4E 2M which is the same as the GRF 1S so nothing new
Urbanmech 3E 2B one less ballistic than the UMR63

Higher engine cap on the urbie means more speed and 1 more internal engine heat sink capability. Griffin has finally received left arm hardpoints.

To me the Griffin, Urbie, Rifleman, and Mad Dog look fine, as is the Firestarter if you want to go with a can opener style build. I'm not really an assault mech fan, but a jumping Banshee is unique.

I'll put my $30 down on it, and I think the Griffin, Firestarter, Urbie, Rifleman, and Mad Dog are some solid mechs for new players to learn to play light, medium, and heavy mechs. The Firestarter is a prototypical light mech, the Urbie is like a quick medium, the Griffin is a solid medium mech, the Rifleman is a solid second line ballistic and energy heavy, and the Mad Dog is a solid missile Heavy.

I'm fine with them not being super good, heroes shouldn't be the best variants.

This. People whine like theres no tomorrow due to "P2W" mechs And when we get on par with standard mechs or less, people whine then too. " 30$ for trahs mechs??! HERESY!"

IMO, all of them can be turned into something useful even great.
I look forward to the MW4 esque MDD/ Vulture with ct HP, the Banshee and the Firestarter.

Maybe someday...in an alternate universe....when fun returns....hover jets will be useable on assault mechs again.

most of them seem like side grades,
which makes sense also it seems more of a $30 for 7 heros then buy to get meta heros,

that said i dont think the MDD offers too much more, ya you could run 8Energy, but with GH 6 is fine,
and if 6 is fine then ill just run the 3E arms and keep my Torsos SRMs or ATMs, because MadDogs gotta MadDog, ;)

Too bad we can not buy hero omni pods, otherwise I'd know what I'd do with that Mad Dog/Vulture.

(hint: Bandit torsos)

Edit:
I guess this is more targeted at new players who do not have any hero mechs yet (or do not have any hero of of the mechs in this pack). Looking at the pack that way, the loadouts make more sense.

Edit2:
Will the pack or idividual heros be available for MC later?

Hmm 2 x c-gauss, 2 x c-mpl could do. Or maybe 2 x LBX 20 and 2 x heavy smalls.

actually its gonna make a huge change. It now can laser vomit with the best of them just isnt gonna be an amazing poke mech because of it design. But 2 HLL and 6 er meds is some serious vomit.

The pack would have been so expensive if they did it this way....like Clan waves 1 and 2 expensive.

Thats over $200 dollars worth of mechs right there not to mention each one would be new and have to be designed in game first. They took old mechs re-skinned em and gave em some new hard points to make some money for no real effort.

The BNC and the MDD are worth the $30 alone.

The Mad Dog has now obtained STANDARD CLAN VOMIT.

Rejoice, Citizens.

TBH 30 dollars for 7 hero mechs (including a 100 and 95 tonner) along with the other goodies is actually a great deal. I only think I would use like two of them though...

Its about time there was a 60 ton option for vomit :)
