Cries of P2W are relevant when things are obscenely over powered, adding a few extra hardpoints to make these heroes attractive isn't exactly worth crying over. Say the FS9 had 6-12 Ballistic points and 6 energy points, finally people would have an innersphere answer to the PIR and MLX and if you want to buy a cBill standard variant of it, just buy the MLX or PIR. Same with the atlas, we can have a ballistic in each torso and have a good hero and if you want a standard version, buy an ANH or MAL.
These are worthless to those of us who already own multiple heroes and multiple mechs like these 6.
I want a great deal on heroes as well, but I don't want to have a founders D and a hero just like it. Or a duplicate of the Ember.
People haven't been crying havoc over the Deathstrike, in fact, a goddamn HUGE amount of people bought it. Sleipnir too.
The good heroes, they get sold, people play them. We don't need side-grades for mechs that are subpar to begin with.

The people that don't already own something similar or better either are new or don't play enough and aren't going to buy these in the first place.
The mechpack is cheap but the mechs suck out loud.

I already have 80 mechs i dont use. Not sure i need more until i get a rig that can run fast lights again.
Now, the hardpoints MIGHT be better than at first glance because these are built for 1v1 and 2v2 in mind.
If Atlas and Banshee get nice HP bonus, should be good in 1v1.
Urbie, sure.
Griffin, sure.
Rifleman, decent.
Firestarter, meh.
MadDog, nice.
Nothing groundbreakin. Camos are nice, imo, but maybe not the rifleman.

as far as heros go, im mostly just buying ones at certain tonnage brackets (based on what i already own) so i can have more all hero dropdeck options. for tha cbills, you know. ive already bought all the heros that have interesting hardpoints. is is mostly covered, but what i really need are more clan heros. this pack is mostly is, and the only clan mech has a better/more interesting hero available (and i may already have that bracket covered).

The rest I didn't bother with. No sense in wasting money on mechs I'll hardly look at in the mech lab much less use. Maybe the next IS light will be interesting like a wasp-stinger combo pack.

I love the Atlas, but I have a 30% cBill boosted D, if it was a more unique setup or just better in general I would buy this pack for that one mech alone. Also, since the engine desync I haven't touched my any of my Atlases.

Atlas 5E 2B and 2M which is one more energy point than an AS7 D,
Griffin 4E 2M which is the same as the GRF 1S so nothing new
Rifleman 5E 3B one more energy and one less ballistic than a RFL 3C
Urbanmech 3E 2B one less ballistic than the UMR63
Firestarter 4B 4E so an Ember but with a worse hardpoint setup
Banshee 4E 2B 1M it is practically a BNC 3S but you can't strip the arms, bonus for hoverjets though
Maddog is good, I like what you did with CT lasers, to bad I don't want one.
You had a chance to do some really unique things but the AS7, GRF, RFL, UM, and FS9 are pretty much already available in some form.
The Banshee could have been a rather unique ride but the only thing it has is jump jets, the hardpoint setup is done better already and you can't strip the arms because that is where 4 of your weapons are.
On the positive side, $30 for 7 cBill boosted mechs is pretty great so thank you for that.
I guess, thanks fI'mnor trying but I know I'm looking a very nice gift horse in the mouth but many of this game's heroes are bad or mediocre.
When people ask me what heroes they should buy I cringe. I usually suggest getting an Omnimech hero so they can change out the parts that don't work for them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not interested in a purely pay to win scheme with heroes, but I am interested in some actually GOOD heroes. Thanks to a serious amount of power creep, the bar is set quite high and these guys just don't even reach it when they're on their toes.
Please consider inflating some hardpoints, moving some around and making these a solid investment.
EDIT:
After thought, this could have been a great opportunity to introduce a light hero for Innersphere that can take 6 - 12 ballistics. Even if would be an oversized Firestarter.
This is a really hard thing to fix if you think about it
If PGI make them too weak, then ppl complain
If they make em too strong, ppl complain
I guess there's no solution... except maybe make them hero versions of existing variants.
but that would mean no Pay2Win, which would dent PGI's profits... oh noes... without all the whales buying Deathstrikes, PGI won't survive =(

Where are all the massive complaints about the Deathstrike? I don't always see things that crop up on these forums but I haven't seen any threads gain traction with P2W cries against it.
Where are the cries against the Pahket?
Scorch?
Sleipnir?
You know, some of their best selling mechs?

but the issue isnt about them being too weak or too strong
the issue is that theyre completely uninteresting variants
for example, they couldve given the atlas 4E, 1M, and 1B in each side torso
would that be stronger than other atlai? not really. would it be different though? yes.

there were definitely massive complaints about the deathstrike.
quite frankly its surprising DS hasnt been nerfed yet like all the other clan mechs were
scorch and sleipnir were both too niche before for complaints to be taken seriously about them though. although more people are complaining about sleipnirs now that heavy gauss range was buffed.
