If you introduce Comstar as a faction, you have to go the whole nine yards:

• Terra is conquerable
  
• Starleague Tech
  
• Starleague Mechs
  
• If you say Comstar and regarding the timeline we are apporaching Blake's Word and the Celestials Series Mechs (Late 3060ies, Omnis).

Since, afaik, PGI has pretty much occupied Comstar and Terra as being the PGI home turf, I reckon Comstar as a faction will not happen. Anyway, I'd like to see it though. Especially really old Starleague Mechs, just for the fun of it (Mackie anyone? )

EDIT: For added PGI incentive, they could do mechpacks for that too.

The Clan Busters would be excellent to use along with some Comstar Colors.

I always thought Comstar's Comm Guards should have been a faction along with various Periphery Pirates.

There are one or two things ...

• PGI is ComStar. The change is not likely.
  
• The factions already in the game lack the most important things - players. Adding another faction would dilute the pool of players even further.
  
• The significant part of the Com Guard 'Mech inventory is already in the game - both their standard models and their Royal versions.
  
• Some 'Mech variants used by the Com Guard are not possible in MWO. For example the Black Knight "Clanbuster" can not be in MWO, since MWO lacks physical combat.
  
• Nobody can say what new 'Mechs (maybe used by ComStar) we will get and when.
  
• If you really want to paint your 'Mechs in Com Guard parade livery, there is nothing easier than buying some shade of white colour. Note that the Com Guard paints their 'Mechs and vehicles plain white without blue or gold highlights.
  
• If you really wish to show your allegiance to ComStar, you can create yourself a ComStar userbar.
