I wonder if the chance to take lites against assults will happen?
will we ever see a 24 mech death match?

first off Ill use my TDK with 4 Med lasers, but I dont expect it to do well in a 1v1 or 2v2 , its more of a harasser mech and it really only works when I have a team that takes advantage of the havoc it causes.
Im thinking Mechs that have more ballistics hard points but couldnt carry much ammo , but if Im hunting only 1 mech I wont need that much and can use the space for heatsinks or more guns.

What's the point of a Solaris mode without cheese builds ... or copious amounts of skullduggery?

Let's put it this way: If I were certain that this game's balance was in a very good place, I'd be less worried about cheese builds
Somehow I don't think a 1-ton weapon that can auto-shutdown the enemy 'Mech as soon as it fires one weapon was designed and balanced for 1v1.

Considering both combatants can choose (or not choose) that same 1-ton weapon, that's good enough "balance" for me.

So, maybe something with PPCs to hit the splatters from outside range, depending on map size.
