As above, does the FS9-E 'Ember' +25% Rate Of Fire quirk apply to all IS maching guns, or just the plain bog standard IS Machine gun (not the LMG or HMG). Like the PPC quirks confusion can I get some clarification please.

Put different guns on in the lab, then put the cursor over the gun in question the modifier will be in blue. If it affect the other types of MGs, you’ll know.

Except MGs and ROF is weird, and nothing turns blue. If you look at a flamer on the ember, there's a blue-text notation on range, due to the flamer range quirk. MGs don't show anything in blue. Tried LMGs and HMGs as well.
At least in the lab as viewed from the store -- don't own an Ember.

Why don't you simply test it yourself. Measure the time in seconds to deplete a half ton of ammo in testing grounds.

How do you do that?
How do you spell machine guns wrong in the title, but then right in your post?

While it sounds like a fun quirk it really doesn't do much when you'll still getting ppfd-ed to the ct. Play like a vulture looking for open mechs and it can be ok. If it applied to all ac instead of just mgs I'd use the ember a lot more. I had the rest while fire starters were king then sold them all except ember. IS just can't get anything that would make their lights good or competitive to clans. Even the pnt-10p's quirks are cheapened by that gorilla gun arm easily shot off with full survival tree. Ct missile sure going to help that mech.

Would be usefull if PGI put RPM and damage per shot in the mechlab so you could see its effect.
