As it's painfully clear, PGI is quick to clean up their mistakes but never their own game.

If that happens, I will be pissed. I've spent a lot of additional c-bills modifying my VTR-9A1. I'll want a full refund for all of that, plus the cost of the loyalty victor, plus the GXP and C-bills spent on skill points. Then maybe some MC for wasting hours of my time while I leveled the mech up.
I'm a Legendary Founder of this game, and have spent more money than I really should have on it (founders pack, overlord pack, a couple of mech packs, some MC.) It would be a real **** move to treat loyal customers like that for a mistake they made.

This is PGI, they don't give a flying frack. You will get a excuse and nothing more. They might even try to spin it to say it's your own fault.

In the past when PGI has messed up putting things on sale at the wrong time, they didn't take things away. Key notes, the clan light that sold for more that you bought it for. The 300 Clan Wolf Warhorns in the last sale. They don't take things away. So they won't take away mech's people bought, more so since next month people can buy the normal loyalty mechs anyways so why bother? There is no threat of PGI removing mech's from people's inventory, just removal of it from cbill sale until they are meant to be on sale for cbills.

you are wrong sir. They do indeed take things away. Very specifically the war horns you mentioned. While they did technically let you win the 100 war horns they very quickly decided to 'fix' it by removing them. First they lowered it from the 100 to 10 for those that worked their assets off to win them then they decided you get just 1 for ever one else.

This is complete nonsense. If pgi takes something away or changes something they are very generous. Yes they took war horns away but they didn't take 99 but only 90. So they gave everybody 9 for free. Same with the refunds. Yes they took the money from the mist lynx glitch but nothing that was bought with it. It was a glitch so pgi could have been much meaner to the players who abused it. All in all I think when it comes to compensations pgi acts reasonable and does a good job.

I still think they shouldn't have taken them out of the store since they were given their own highlighted section in the patch notes.

You can still buy them. For real money. On the website.

The Cheetah doesn't get the quirk because "it's too meta" I guess but the ACW is harder to explain...

Has anyone done the math as to what a 240 (9 heat sinks) mech would need to bring itself up to par, heat wise? Just curious.

It's about 2.6%. 2.5% is a little too low and 2.6% gives you 0.0007 bonus dissipation (new meta confirmed).

PGI has... 7.5%...that's the quirk they gave the commando, vindicator and blackjack variants with either a 240 or 235 engine cap, which functionally are the same besides (0.5 tons difference mass) as far as heat sinks go... 9 internal each.

7.5% actually gives them more than 2.0 dissipation. With 10 sinks they get 2.09625 (unquirked is 1.95), although I think it's justified for the most part due to the inherent weaknesses of the mechs.

As annoying as it is, they have to do it, cause it's not the time for the loyalty mechs.

I think they should get a significant amount since you have to use crit slots to put those heatsinks in. Compared to the higher rated engines having more internal space while staying the same external size... Never understood that, both game rules wise and space magic wise.
