For lyrics: http://en.wikipedia...._Wacht_am_Rhein

"From World War I through 1945, the "Watch on the Rhine" was one of the most popular songs in Germany, again rivaling the "Deutschlandlied" as the de-facto national anthem. In World War II, the daily Wehrmachtbericht radio report began with the tune, until it was replaced by the fanfare from Liszt's Les préludes in 1941. The song's title was also used as the codename for the German offensive in 1944 known today as the Battle of the Bulge. Today, the lands along the left bank of the Rhine between Switzerland and the Netherlands are mainly part of Germany. The Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia are German federal states; Alsace and northern Lorraine are parts of France with a German cultural element to them. The so-called German-French hereditary enmity was ended in 1963 with the Elysée Treaty and the implementation of the Franco–German friendship, so that the danger of an invasion that loomed for centuries over both nations no longer exists. Today, the song has only historical significance in Germany and is rarely sung or played."

Sounds like a good song to drag into the mechwarrior era if there ever was one. The theme of the lyrics seem pretty Steineresque, too. (b'-')b

This is the best one.

what do you think about that?

It fits great I think...dramatic, powerfull, classic...european (whithout gaelic elements, which aren't fit so well to the House of Steiner in my opinion...)

I love these track...

I hear it every time, before I run in battle by the side of my Brothers of the Teutonic ORder :)

If we could combine the thundering drums of the 'Templars March' (to go with our heavy mechs) with lyrics one could see a group of soldiers singing like Die Wacht am Rhein, we would have THE Steiner hymn.

I advice Imperial Anthem of Prussia - Heil dir im Siegerkranz. With words "Kaiser" and "Wilhelm" replaced by "Archon" and "Steiner", perhaps some other editions needed to bring it in accordance with Lyran Commonwealth realities ("Lyran Faust" instead of "Deutsche Aar", "Staat" instead of "Reich" etc).

And for you oppressed people of the Skye, I suggest an old Jacobite song by Robbie Burns:

Well, Free Skye movement have no reasons for joy and pride as for now, ages after their McQuiston founding dynasty became extinct and soon after 3034 rebellion was crushed (mainly by Hanse Davion - who was a foreign threat across the border for Skye people just a couple of decades before).

Some of these are awesome however, none of them truly "Steiner" sounding. Which is why I purpose somthing like this.
