Well, I mean, I know there's a bunch of you out there that play Faction Play, um, almost exclusively. And ... I hope you'll believe me when I say I ... It's a, it's a feature set that's very, um, important and significant to us.
But, we certainly haven't given up.
And the only thing that's stalling us at the moment is, you have a very important feature called Solaris that's coming out, that comes out in April, and ... It's almost certain that we're going to be supporting that feature for a couple months post-release, May and June let's call it, it's important to determine specifically. But we have not given up on giving significant time to, uh, faction play moving forward.
Compare to PGI statements on Dec 9, 2016 link
"We've chosen to call this update Faction Play Phase 4.1, both to signal the start of a new development phase and to stress that this is only the first of future updates and improvements planned for Faction Play as we renew its focus in 2017."
No faction play

I think you are mistaken here; Rust Bollocks drunkenly maunders about 2 - 4 weeks during which there is no 'conflict', this pretty much exactly means shutting down FP. Remember the pause in "regular" CW while the Luthien / Tukkayid / Tharkad events where on? That was a similar pause in the general conflict.

In fact ... if done right it could be a pretty bomb game mode. Too bad the community cannot create mods or something.

Like the engine could handle all those players all at once

Thanks for the transcription confirming that.
Said no conflict
No conflict = no battles
I'd be afraid of them Shutting FP down and a few months later saying the numbers show FP isnt needed as players are still playing the game and there is just no way to live up to the expectations anyway
Or something something marketing speak along those lines

But the noodles were bland. The biggest difference between the noodles was their color and in what part of the restaurant they were served.
The owner decided instead of making each noodle unique and different, he would only have two noodles, but keep the 10 different colors.
Instead, he closed all the seating areas, (the patio, smoking section, the bar, and the balcony overlooking the brown sea) except for one. Forcing every to sit at in the same section of the resteraunt. Many people who liked their favorite seating area left and never came back.
Even adding new noodle colors did not help.
Even though the resteraunt owner failed miserably at noodles, he believes that the customers never really wanted noodles, would be more receptive to the fish and chips instead.

Any company with over two-dozen employees is not a "small company" by any standard...except maybe for getting certain tax credits and government grants. And it certainly doesn't count as a "small company" in the gaming industry. So if you can't get the job done with 70 freakin' people, it's not because you don't have sufficient manpower. It's because of poor management. I don't know exactly what kind of poor management is going on here, though it sounds an awful lot like PGI hit its Peter Principle limits when it decided to tackle this MW5 project. I've volunteered (briefly) for companies where that happened.
Alternatively, those 70 "employees" are really assorted interns/volunteers/temps/part-timers, equivalent to only 5 or 6 actual workers. That seems kind of scummy for Canadians, but I suppose that kind of toxic Silicon Valley mentality could have stretched its tentacles into the Great White North. "Yeah, let's cut our labor costs by not having a workforce, this is veeeeerrrry savvy business-ing."
agree. the credits to doom fit on one screen.

are you implying that people doing an interview on behalf of their company, should prepare for an interview, have answers ready, or at least have practiced with cue cards, show up for the interview sober and professional?

“I think we're gonna make sure that March is a very strong Faction Play event, with these new, um, reduced, um, barriers around contracts and so on and so forth.”
So then, lucky charms is the “very strong faction play event”? Uh. Some loot boxes and 10K extra cbills playing as certain factions make for a “very strong faction play event”?
Well then. I for one am now really excited for the next reset and future development of this mode. I am sure the next round of changes will be “very strong” as well.
