Figured I would share a few more mini's pics

Sword of Light lance, consisting of the new plastic minis - Grasshopper (launcher modified to make it a 5J), Panther, Dragon (fixed up the laser, and the main gun barrel - plan on running it as either a DRG-5N, or a 1G), and an old 'plastech' Hunchback, modded into a HBK-4SP

modded out the reseens for my fedsuns unit
- Marauder has new guns to make it match the art for the 5T
-Phoenix Hawk has a modded warhammer ppc, and new laserbarrels to make it a 6D
-Thunderbolt has a modded warhammer ppc, and the launcher bit off of a Wasp - to make it a 10SE

I lost all the photos I had of my minis.. but I am tempted to put my old kitbash Warhammer on here...

EDIT: Snapped a quick shot of it.. its dustier than I thought... heh. But, there she is.. one of the first minis I painted years ago... still haven't done ground effects on the base clearly.

Iron Wind Metals in the US and
Ral Partha Europe in the EU.
You can only get some of the minis from IWM, but for the most part they have the same selection.

"Mr. and Mrs. Urbie. He takes out the trash and She cleans up."

Can you imagine a comic book like that? :huh:

Actually there is a guy with a fan based Battletech Webcomic called Miniature Rules, he might accept that. I'll have to ask him some day.

I was looking for this thread in the TT forum here' some of the mini's I painted recently;

Quote

Change of scale today for me (instead my large scale B'tech models). I wanted some table top counter parts to pose next to my Large mechs to demonstrate scale. So here they are in the ELH desert ridge line camo.

I also tried out a new technique of painting reflected light to give my atlas that MWO glow.

Finally the existing highlander miniature looks like something out of 60's sci-fi show. I wanted something that looked more like the MW4 version the Highlander IIC miniature comes close. I modified the torso and the arms, deleted the neck and cut down the legs to getting us closer the MW4 concept art of David White (mecha-master). I also added the reflected light effect from the cockpit.

If you like too see more of David White's work you can here:

And if you like to see the Reflected light tutorial I used you can watch it here;

Apologies for the crappy resolution, it's been compressed a few times. Anyroad, below is my generic Drac/Sword of Light Company, in the wee hours of the morning after last minute touches the day of a local Con. Also, yes, the Atlas, Kintaro and Dragon are a different shade of red than the rest of the company, they had been painted long before the others and for the life of me I couldn't remember whether they were Blood Red or Gore Red, and at any rate the difference is much less obvious in softer lighting.

For the the curious, they are from front to back and left to right:
1st Row: Trebuchet
2nd Row: Maelstrom, Grand Dragon
3rd Row: Kintaro, Gunslinger, Spider
4th Row: Lynx, Mauler, Cyclops (Company commander with a golden "helmet"), Black Hawk KU
5th Row: Naginata, Atlas (With a blue dragon wrapped around its left arm)

Spoiler

I'm intrigued - are these Kanazuchis specific BT minis or based on WH40K dreadnoughts minis?

They are GW Dreadnought minis.Kanazuchis hadn't been released at that point & when they were i felt the GW figures looked more like the mobile pill boxes that the Kanazuchi Battle Armour is supposed to be.
I have more unpainted figures & seeing as GW rather selfishly decided against continuing production i have decided i'm going to cast them in resin until i have enough figures.
