Good to see all these suggestions, but I'm more curious particularly about this:

Should pilot in Stealth Armor on, have sensors turned off?

If we could have sensors on while in stealth, I think it would be sufficient buff to make it more viable and encourage more people for picking it, while encourage even more folks to actually play recon, and more reliably so. I think buffing anything that may improve combat capabilities of mech is stealth would be wrong, otherwise, it is in pretty good place at the moment, IMHO.

It doesn't shut off ally sensors, so jumping into the middle of an enemy formation and NARCing/TAGging/UAVing from behind can help your team even if you aren't doing any real damage. I'd say that's already massively encouraging.

Having active sensors on defeats the purpose of stealth armor which prevents waves of all types from being emitted. Imagine Harry Potter under his stealth cloak screaming at the top of his voice "I AM NOT HEREEEE!", yeah...

The main issue with the Stealth Armor is that it shouldn't be preventing all heat dissipation from happening. It should just be a continuous heat penalty like movement.

The only real issue with stealth armor is that 90% of pug players can't see a target unless it has a big red box around it. The reason you don't see it in comp is that players in comp will actually spot you and shoot you with/without sensors so the disadvantages heavily outweigh the advantages.

In pug matches it can be a fun gimmick. I take it sometimes when I'm tired of listening to "Warning Incoming Missiles" blaring in my ear non stop every match. Serious, it seems like every LRM boat has nothing better to do than spam missiles at the first target lock they can find. It's not hard to avoid them, I just get tired of hearing it.

It lets you run circles around most pugs and it's a nice break from the missile spam. It's particularly great for hunting missile boats when used on a light since half the time their team won't even turn around if they don't get some sort of red target on their map.

I wouldn't call it good, but it's fun.

Small side note, I do think capping should be enabled while stealth armor is on, but that's a minor gripe.

It's a hoot on mr peanutbutter; especially if you like being cheeky, tying people up, or getting them to turn.

Paint it grey and the Hpg is nothing but fun.

Probably better used getting away than for getting into position.

Fun fact; also masks your heat signature. (Probably why you can't dissipate heat)

As far a buff; a little more radar range would be nice. Or let you see your own uav locks or something.

would be nice, especially if you don't "ping" the reds when targeting them.

I specified in the first post: "purely from gameplay perspective". Right now all it does, is defeating purpose of scout mech type picking it for whatever reason. I mean I do much better job at it with maxed sensors in any fast moving Light with ECM. Nobody can catch you or get a lock on you, stay miles away from enemies, and have perfect vision of enemy team with full info on. Just lock, call out targets and let them eat pinpoint DPS from your allies. IMO, Stealth mech supposed to do it better, instead we have to tell friendlies everything we see over the comm, and there's a lot we don't see (like damaged components, loadouts, etc). I think it's pretty obvious how "helpful" that is.

I think you should be able to receive radar intel from your own team mates at least. At least, this allows you to be slightly more effective at ambushes...

As for being better for scouting, maybe it could give away enemy location? But no paper doll, and no target lock? Thus the spirit would be to give tactical advantage, rather than firepower advantage.
