Get a Wolfhound instead, it's really similar geometrically (both have fantastic hit boxes), has a better engine cap and hard point layout for this game.
I played Panthers for about 300 games and kinda liked them, but sold all of them after the Wolfhound landed. Haver never once regretted.

I wouldn't exactly call it a "good" mech, but it's incredibly fun.

not gamebreaking good. probably not good, even.
but fun, and sometimes, that is just enough

I don't regret buying it, but will certainly not grind the event for/with it. if you got cbills to spare - go get one

if not, better stay clear.

My first drop with it got me 4 KMDDs, after 3 ineffectual rounds with other Panthers.
