It looks like a Locust somehow got impregnated ja a stalker, and gave birth to a thing that was known as "the biggest bugger to plague my plantation" all its Youth.

Friends started referring to it as an overgrown Flea, and now it's evolved and we're calling it the Tick (one of the best cartoons ever). So suddenly I'm emotionally attached to this thing!

You remember those awesome Townhall intermission videos by NGNG?
(if anyone has link, please provide, I couldn't find em on Youtube!?)
(Edit: Tordin has kindly provided the video I was looking for, so see below, and thanks bro.)

Remember the Cicada child of the 2 Stalkers, the one that's "Daddy" Stalker left em when it saw it was a Cicada not a Stalker, and it later went on it's vendetta to hunt down the Dragon that accidentally headshot it's "Mommy" Stalker??!!

This is it's half brother it never knew about from when it's floozy Stalker momma got herself a Clanner Sugar daddy for a while. Posted Image

Am I seeing things, or do the side torso weapon pods pitch up with the arms? Posted Image

Well, now I regret not preordering it because of... let’s say less performing packs... instead of that one...

It’s also because of those lesser mechs that I hold my wallet closed...

Man I am looking forward to this. I liked the concept art but the wallpapers here make the sunspider look more rugged, and turning to the variants there's a lot of variety: First three do a little of everything but have specialties in missiles, ballistics, and energy respectively. Then the last three go all in on straight missiles, ballistics, and energy respectively. And the stock loadouts are pretty decent. The first three you can go straight to looking for match. Only the LRMs on the D need to be immediately destroyed (although I am tempted to play lurmwarrior just once with it). Hope its cool. Gonna go behind my IS mech's backs. Right around my birthday too.

there isn't a mech that sucks in the game.

You heard it here first, people: Ice Ferret as viable as Mad Cat Mk II.
Phoenix Hawk equal to Assassin!

The Sun spider has all weapons in a high position point, making to have a very good advantage over many other heavy mechs.
I'm glad that I pre-ordered! Posted Image

I dont know how exactly you calculate the scale, but being visually as wide from the front and as WHM and like half wider from the side doesn't seem right. And the legs are longer too.

i am so glad i preorderd this thing. It's a mech designed for MWO pure and simpel.
High mounts, ecm, relativly narrow torsos.
Yep i like it.

The scale is volumetric - both of the 'mech models have the same total volume.

That is the failure of volumetric scaling when the game is about shooting pixels.
