Says it has two balastic options,
The Rotary AC 2 and Rotarty AC 5 did not show up besides all other balastic weapons at the mechlab
How could I have know that it is not possible the mount this weapon on this Mech?

RACs are IS only. As for how you could've known? Well, there's this handy-dandy little feature that allows you to modify the mech before you buy it.
If we had Mixtech, I'd almost certainly be running a HeavyGauss Orion IIC. Shame I can't, because that sounds awesome to me.

Notably, there's two tech trees, each with their own set of weapons, engines, and other construction differences.
RAC's right now are IS only (Clantech ones show up considerably later). On the other side of things, Clanners get heavy lasers and ATMs as weapon types not shared with the Inner Sphere machines.

Considering you only have like 4 posts on he forums, I'm gonna throw you a bone..
You've actually raised a point I've been saying for years now..
NOWHERE is anything in the game sufficiently described, explained and immersive..
If you are a new player, if you wanna know how game modes work, what mechs are IS or Clan, how weapons behave, or for instance, that Artemis only works in LOS (or what LOS means for that matter), you have to ask players or search the forums without a search functionality (cose' its broken).
So yeah.. no wonder you though you could put RACs on a MadCat Mk2... You probably ain't the first, and won't be the last..
Just look at the Store - if you wanna buy a mech pack, you gotta go into the loadout section, and check if the default weapons are CERML or ERML,, cose' not even the omnipods are descriptive enough anymore..
Such info is lostech..
So yeah.. Guys, don't berate this guy.. he may or may not be trolling, but he has a point.

The game doesn't clearly say that a mech is a battlemech or an omnimech, nor whether it is IS or CLAN (apart from a small line somewhere between tons of other info. Store tab just shows "BATTLEMECHS" list, even though like 1/4 of them aren't Battlemechs. Tonnage info is also buried deep within the stats (that's if you wanna look the mech up BEFORE you buy it). Strange, since tech (IS-CLAN, BAT-OMNI) and tonnage are like 2 most basic and fundamental pieces of information about a mech you should know before you proceed to do anything about a mech.
Bah, even when they release a mech, a non-BT guy like me has to take some time for research to check what kind of a mech is that actually.
There should be a big text showing up in the store (ingame and on the website) when you select a mech that says something like: "65-ton Clan Omnimech"

theyre one of the only clan weapons thats arguably worse than the IS version
so theres no reason they shouldnt be in th egame

Technically speaking, all omnimechs are battlemechs.
Besides that, yes, the game is a horrible mess when it comes to explaining things. The only way to correctly identify Omnimechs is to know whats what already, or to check for set of 8/pod slots on the MechLab tab. Stealth armor isn't described to any reasonable degree anywhere in the game. Tonnage is located in a Spider Graph, of all ******* places. It's a mess, and personally, the only reason I can suffer it is because I have such a backlog of Battletech/Mechwarrior knowledge. If I was coming into this game raw, I would have ditched it almost immediately.

Time frame doesn't support it.

like timeframe matters lmao. faction warfare is operation bulldog era (3058) with 3068 technology. timeline already makes no sense.
so yeah it would be fine to give clans RACs and HAGs
especially since clans didnt get tons of other things they should have in the current timeline like chemical lasers, ER pulse lasers, streak LRMs, artemis V, etc...

Rather than Time Line that seems to have gone away, I've started to use the term Era as with how MWO operates, it seems more inline with what is going on...

No, you really don't.... The increase to 8 crits (For the cRAC/5) really makes you question it's value...

Pffffff. I can take half-slot Endo and half-slot and even lighter ferro. And Heavy Gausses sound cool.
Wouldn't completely replace my current IIC-A Splatbuild, but it'd certainly see use.

Yeah the cRAC-5s would be pretty bad, but I kind of want to try quad 2s at 600m provided they bump the velocity to enable long rangish combat.

Even then the cRAC/2 is larger than the isRAC/2 (4 crits for clan, 3 for IS)... but they do get longer range... 25 hex (750m optimal in MWO)
Speaking of optimal ranges, I'd argue that max hex long range in TT is anything but optimal... perhaps the higher end of medium range would be optimal... or perhaps the longer end of short range in TT... I say that as in short range it's easier to hit (-2) than it is at long range (+2)....
