It has come to my attention that we have only 2 mechs with CT ballistics... The pirates bane and the timberwolf prime. Neither of which can really utilize ac2's...

I would like to vouch for the next mech to be one that has at least 1 variant with ballistics in the CT that isn't in the light weight class and isn't a clan mech (because their ac2's are 3 slots...). This will provide a completely new hardpoint layout.

Anyone know any mechs that would fit this requirement?

The venerable Chameleon training 'mech has two CT machine guns in stock config. IS 50-tonner.

For the life of me, I can't think of anything else.

What you're waiting for is compact gyros.

Nice cheap way to give you more space in the CT, which also helps robots like the Dragon and Panther who otherwise are stuck with minimal ways to use their missile hardpoints.

Correspondingly, XL gyros are a decent way to trade a few crit spaces for extra tonnage if there's nothing going into the CT to begin with.

Considering MWO isn't mixtech, no you could not.

Could fit a CT Gauss in there though.

Aha! So there is ONE mech that can fit an ac2 in there. Nonetheless though, the suggested Chameleon would be nice. 2 ac2 CT, make it a standard engine, harass the whole game.

There isn't a Mad Cat Mk II with a CT ballistic, neither any variation of Vulture/Mad Dog.

Clan tech can in fact fit an ultra 2 in the CT, but only if 1 slot isn't taken by fixed armor/structure (so basically a battlemech or an extremely lucky omni which doesn't exist).

As for mechs that fit the bill, can't think of any off the top of my head. But the Viking and Viking IIC both have MGs in the legs. So leg AC2s LOL the anti-meta mech given the lowest mounting possible for these... but hey it's unique.

Wow. Someone doesn't browse the store often. Go look at the MCII-A.

Better yet, here's a pic below.

To be fair.. the UAC2 is hilarious as a backup weapon, although i havent used it since i switched over to a gauss loadout.

What, the Mad Dog MKII? Technically it doesn't exist (Was a one-off alt config by Ghost Bear, according to Word of God)

If you meant the Mad Dog MKIII, it doesn't even exist a little bit outside of Mektek.

Sorry, I haven't played MW4 Mektek in a very, very long time, so I can't tell which you might mean.

Not at all. All stock Mad Dog configurations lack MG's in any way whatsoever.
