Which one?

I derped on the Mad Dog MKIII, btw. I know it's a thing, I'm just really tired.

Mad dog II i thought was made canon after the mechwarrior game made it.

Technically? No and yes. The Mad Dog MKII is another name for a Ghost Bear model that simply lodged the MPLs into the CT.

Wow. Someone doesn't browse the store often. Go look at the MCII-A.

Actually, i pre-ordered the MCII and you can tell that the MCII-A is so good that i completely forget it even existed. Technically, it doesn't anyway since it isn't even canon.

Doesn't fit with MWO's construction rules. In the stock config it features x2 cMPL in the chin turret so technically it would be 2 energy (just like the upcoming Revenant hero). Having a "hey you can put literally anything that fits here" omni rack is just silly.

AC2 PIRATES' BANE

It's not effective though, but it does do AC2 on the CT.

In the MW4 cutscene it looks like ballistics.

Nvm its energy..

Well, MW4 is not a canonic BT-source and as such it cannot contribute to the BT-canon. Actual BT-publications have made the Mad Dog MkII&III canon; TRO:3050U refers to "minor variances" of the Mad Dog build in the IS but other than that it is the same (i.e. Mad Dog MkII); The Mad Dog MKIII was introduced by TRO:3145 Clan.

As for mechs that fit the bill, can't think of any off the top of my head. But the Viking and Viking IIC both have MGs in the legs. So leg AC2s LOL the anti-meta mech given the lowest mounting possible for these... but hey it's unique.

The Cicada 3C has MGs in the legs. In MWO they were moved to the side torsos.

The hardpoints could be used for ballistics, though- at least in MW4. The chin turret was where the Vulture's "omni" hardpoints were located in that game. The intro cutscene was likely produced before the final loadout for the 'Mech was decided- IIRC, the arm weapons are wrong in that cutscene too.

Doesn't matter. It's still in the game, even if it's not "Canon" in the lore.

That said, I wish it and the MCII-B were canon. I like having more usable variants on tabletop.
