With pugs coming out in droves for the event piloting less popular mechs, it is time to see some builds you find hilarious and/or bad.

I'll start it off with this quad ML + two HMG K2 build. That pilot did 150 damage in that match BTW.

I've been seeing a LOT of bad builds lately, ever since the 2-week event started. Yesterday, I had a Piranha on my team that was last to die, due to him staying out of the fight for pretty much the entire match. The reason why he was never really in the fight is that he spent most of the match trying to snipe from long range using a single ERPPC. That was the ONLY weapon my Piranha teammate had, one ERPPC. When the other team's mechs started cornering him, he only managed to land a couple of shots while trying to run away, in a 1 vs 5 scenario.

Either this player has no idea what they are doing, or they were trolling their team. I see no third option or middle ground here.

King Crab with 3 HMG! Yes 3 HMG and nothing else. He even managed one kill and survived the game. This is what I call mwo hardcore mode!

I often see highlanders rushing to some guy and facehugging him to deny everyone else a shot and get kmdd, thats kinda funny. They usually die after such maneuver, but hey, you need to do it only 12 times.

Let's see...

4x LRM 5 Jenner during an incursion map. He was the last to die with sub-100 damage.
The Griffin trial with 2x ppc is pretty much a troll build since it's useless inside of 90m and isn't fast enough to escape other mechs.
Lot of pure LRM catapults. No tag, no other weapons of any sort, just LRMs.
Lot of lights with a single ER PPC or ER Large laser, usually the last to die at nearly full health with under 200 damage.
An 8x C-SSRM2 Arctic wolf. He'd basically alpha and immediately shut down from ghost heat. Why he didn't go with like 3x SSRM6, I'll never know.

Well I call guilty as I changed for the warhawk.

I couldn't get the KMDD quick enough with the standard long range build so I said "bleep it" and made a full brawler build.
1 ac/20 ultra, 2 heavy large and a few srm 6's

4 games and done as lights and mediums just ran straight up to me looking for an easy close up kill.

Ha Ha Ha.

The single ERPPC ACH is actually a thing. It has ECM and JJs and speed. Only thing that sucks about it now is that C-ERPPC was cooldown was overnerfed and hurt builds like that and on other mechs not specifically quirked for energy cooldown.
The LBK-A specifically has a -15% LRM COOLDOWN. It is fast and armored so it can keep LOS all day long and its launchers are up on the top STs. It has enough tonnage to run 2 LRM15+A w/ 4.5 tons, bap, tc1 and 4 er smalls as back up.

Piranha with a single large pulse laser, nothing else.

And a Summoner with 4x Streak SRM2 + 1x ATM12, in the same battle. Both did terrible.

Mrm60 + LB10'S makes quick work of nearly everything.
