My first attempt at capturing, editing and posting videos from game play. Provide feedback if you want.

The music volume could be a bit lower. (My headphones are lying on my desk before me and I could hear the music just fine Posted Image )

You could go to training grounds and use freecam (F5) to get some footage of the piranha running up to the camera and opening fire or something and use that as a short intro to set the context for the video (as is, it's just several mechs backsides going up in explosion - hard to tell what's happening if someone never played MW:O).

That aside, nice work. Posted Image

obligatory question: What software do you use to capture/edit your videos?

lol Thanks for the feedback guys. I used Shadow Play and windows 10 since they were on the computer. I wanted to see if I enjoyed it before getting better software, free of course.

I think your shadow play settings might need tweaked.

here's my suggestions:

1) Don't zoom in. Proper whole cockpit view is better.

2) In-game audio is more important than music. Ditch the music or learn to match it better with the game.

3) Simply joining short clip after short clip isn't really entertaining. Look at some of TheB33f's videos to get an idea of how to make clips flow.

4) Try to go with a theme (again TheB33f's videos are instructive). If the theme is 'Piranha' that's pretty boring. Try to come up with a more complex theme - something more than just 'well this is a mech that exists'.

5) Run your videos past friends who aren't afraid to give you constructive criticism before you publish. If they tell you it's boring, go back to the drawing board and try to improve. You only get one chance to make an impression with the public.

Clips need to be longer. Somebody posted this in one of the omg lights op threads but you can't even tell whats going on in the video. Only way to know if you even did most of the damage or just the kill shot is to watch the rewards pop up. The rapid clip change is more of a quick one shot kill preferably from range kind of thing.

The Spider 5K only has 4 ballistic hardpoints in the arms and 1 energy in the CT.
