The fact that PGI is allowing the players that picked up the Vanguard hero Sun Spider from the Dec 27th event to purchase C-bill omnipods of the base 3 variants is amazingly cool of them. The company could have shrugged and said "You get the base hero pods with the mech but need to buy a mechpack to get different omnipods now" but they didn't.
This was an absurdly classy move on their part. The stream was great, and seeing the mech in action with that really nice cockpit was very pretty.

Anyone else dig the cockpit warhorn & dash mechanical spider?! I mean... sure Diamond Shark warhorn is best, but... tis nice!
The Sun Spider is gonna perform well, based on how others in the 60-75 ton range perform with those attributes. Gonna be a heavy matches tomorrow!

Shame I have class till 7 and need to set up my new computer that's arriving tomorrow before I can play. Guess I'll have to see all the "SunSpider is OP" and "SS is DOA" threads before I get in there myself. But that Warhorn though... goosebumps.

Is it just me, or did AC's not have a visual recoil before? in the video recoil can be seen at 31:12.. I never saw that animated cannon recoil before?

I like it. Most mechs don't do much for me these days but that one is pretty cool.

Really? Damn that's nice of them, I might actually play my free Sun Spider now.

It already existed on some mechs, mainly the newer ones that have been updated to CivWar, but on other mechs its static.
