How Many People Are Unwilling To Buy The Colors And Patterns Unless Piranha Games Makes The Patterns Unlockable Across All Variants?

Why do people still buy and wear watches even though they have cell phones?
hmm.. I know this is a trick question..
How's about the average guy is too unsure in their masculinity to just accessorize without a specific function?

I have bought a few of the cheapest MC packs, but 90% of my mechs are painted and decked out with cockpit items completely free.
This is one of the rare things that are amazing about this game. You can have everything in-game, without paying real money for it.
You just have to play.. a lot.

It made zero sense when they released the patterns to have it be chassis by chassis, maybe slightly better now since most lines have more than 4 variants.
Would make far more sense to sell a global unlock and hire a guy to actually make more options - people buy silly decals, they'd buy up all the patterns you could throw at the game if it were garage wide.

As for colours, an argument could be made that they could be cheaper, but PGI runs so many events that hand out MC and free colours, I literally have multiple whites, grays, greens and reds that I barely use at this point. Add to that the odd colour sale, and when you're buying them with free MC, it doesn't hurt at all.
If you're lacking funds to support the game, OP, find some patience and you'll be in the same boat I am in a few years. Enjoy!

People have been doing this since the dawn of time.
You buy a new shirt for that first date, and wear a nice paint job for your mech bros.

This is true. I have a bunch of unlocks for my Cicadas and Blackjacks, the first 'mechs I ever played in this game. I was several months into the game when I learned that there's such a thing as a one-shot camo.

I agree with supporting the game. But they are charging wayyyy too much. On my pay, it is entirely too much, so they are losing my revenue entirely when it comes to the patterns. I can afford the mech packs every now and again, but for my PERSONAL finance situation, the prices are not reasonable. If a significant number of players are also in the same boat, it might be more financially sensible to lower the prices or allow global unlocking, because again, doing so would lower the bar and potentially allow for more profit from the increased sales.

I am currently trying to squeeze in around 75-80hrs this week at work. Next week I am aiming for 95-100. I **** you not. This means 15-16hr days, 6-7 days a week. It's ****** up. I don't have time for that ****. I would like to sit down and play the game, showing off my personality as I wreck people, but this is made difficult with the current system. Like I said, I would be willing to pay much more for a global unlock, but the current prices are crap. They could also offer a monthly rate, allowing us to use any and all patterns/colors. As soon as we stop paying the 5 dollars or whatever, we lose access to everything. That guarantees revenue, while keeping it more affordable for players. They should work to offer alternate payment options that help less financially-well-off players enjoy the game.
