I built it but saw the heavy queue and decided to drop light all night.

All I can say for now is that with max survival tree, it looks promising hehehe

MRMs shouldn't be effected by tube count anymore.

I decided to take it simple, and the few matches i played, did fairly well. It's not unique to the variant, but it did perform in those too, so i guess i knew what to expect.

Went with a Light 280, AC20 RT, MRM40 LT.

Very solid Brawler.

You'all have alot more experience with IS stuff than I do but here's what I put together:

RAC-2. LpL, MRM 10, MRM 20, 2 LMG, 265 eng and AMS..... Always wanted to try the RAC 2 and LpL together, MRM's are so much fun!

Haven't had time or an event to try it at..... Comments on this build?

LB20X (3.5 tons) + 3 SRM6 (4 tons) + 260 STD seems okay. I'm half-temped to swap the SRM6s for 2 ASRM6 + ASRM4, though. Not sure how much of a difference the Artemis will make.

Its ok not really what i consider great, weird weapon spots arms suck and it can't really take much in terms of weapons imo..

Prefer the Sun Spider funnily enough.

Running UAC20 4ton and a MRM40 2ton LFE dunno never really liked the Roughnecks tbh.

RGH's are solid mechs, just have to use them accordingly. High mounts = great laser vom for 3A. 2A has great mounts for a pocket HG build. PH has great hardpoints for a pocket victor. With the armor quirks and the variety able to be fielded there's no reason why someone couldn't make one work well.

You're using a RAC + small numbers of MGs on a non-light mech, that's a bad combination. Seriously, MGs should really only be used on light/fast mechs that can boat 4+, and RACs just aren't worth using.

I'd upgrade the RAC2 to a UAC10 or UAC20, drop the LMGs and also drop the large pulse as it is too hot to use with the other weapons.

Its actually not that bad, but it feels really generic and the ONLY build ive been able to get good results with (consistently) is dual UAC10s. While it works great, dual UAC10s can be done on like every other 60-65t heavy just as well, so it really isnt anything special.

Tried MRMs, and didnt really like it, since they spread too much to justify their existence (id rather do 20 damage to one location with ballistics then 40 to everywhere with MRMs), run hot, and well have a good chance of missing anything small or agile. SRMs aint bad, but you need to get stupidly close to do anything, and brawling is just not consistent in todays meta of mid range or go home, and well im not even commenting on LRMs as they are pathetic.

Essentially, the mech is entirely reliant upon ballistics to do damage for me, and that seriously limits viable builds, since missiles are just bad in MWO overall, and 2 energy hardpoints arent even worth bothering with at all (only thing i can think of that isnt pointless with just 2 energy is dual HPPC, but its all in the arm and thus easy to loose it). Fun mech (like any other mech with dakka loadouts), but far from meta or even that good if you want to win serious games (if only it had good ballistic quirks, but nope, just worthless missile velocity and energy stuff).

LFE 280, AC-20, 3x SRM-4, 2x MPL, stripped the armor off right arm for tonnage sine nothing's in there. Run it like a bigger version of the Shadowhawk-2D2.
