As you can see from below image, contract bonus's are no longer available, I still have 40% liao cbills bonus for not changing contract since before patch, I have no intention of changing faction for 1 warhorn and intended to finish final 6 loot bags I needed 3rd day of a 7 day event, only to find after a few days the event is no longer available, when it is supposed to be available for 7 days, it does not say the subevents will make the main event incompleteable for many without breaking contracts.

In the past they have always left normal Faction play queue's on when running IS vs IS Clan vs Clan events at the same time, for those who dont want to play that way.



For those who dont have brains and say there is now no penalties except 10 game probation no cbills. A penalty is anything that impacts negatively. I think you have forgotten 2 things that are penalties for going Davion/Steiner nova/viper.

Merc contract bonus's from before patch, since there are now no merc contract bonus's active losing 40% cbills bonus for 6 scouting games of loot bags is insane when the event showed we had 4 more days to complete it.

Adding and removing unit members if unit leader does not want to change / is not around for next 2 days incurs huge cbill costs.

So I CANNOT play as Jadefalcon during these two days and cannot progress in Lootbag event?

I DONT WANT to be inner sphere scum! Otherwise I would have choosen so!

Why SHOULD I ever leave Clan Jadefalcon? There is a thing called honor, so because I am a "Loyalist" I cannot participate in the event and cant play FP for two days, losing also these two days and dont forget, the upcoming next two days will be Clan Novacat? So the event is quite done?

I hope this is a bug and not intentional, that Clanners cannot fight right now, otherwise someone at PGI has not understood how Clan participation works.

Scouting actually got easier once I stopped running Streaks and brought my Crab-27b (1 ERLL, 5 ERMed, std engine) in. Carving components is much faster than sandblasting.

I spent my time checking out Fortnite and new battletech game launching next month because of this inability to play faction play pgi.

So, I have no intention of switching factions as a Loyalist - is there no way to participate in these next two events at all?

Or can one supposedly join by clicking event details and "Go now" in the in-game event browser?

In which case I'm equally screwed, as my in-game event browser has NEVER worked properly, and despite multiple reports to support, has continued to not work properly.

Guess it's time for another email to support, let's see if their guy is still out of the office like the last one I sent.

Damn it. Messed up my timing and only got 85 loot bags during the first (Clan vs. IS) phase. Does it mean that there's no way for me to get the remaining 15 loot bags if I have no intention to break my loyalty to Clan Ghost Bear? Not that I particularly need that tartan pattern, but still...

The contract bonus is something people have been complaining about for years because the inactive players skewed the numbers toward only certain factions. Setting them to zero was going to have to happen at some point to fix the imbalance. Logically, the best time to do this would be when a lot of people are swapping loyalty around. The only question is...will PGI slip in a fix to only track active players to set the bonuses once they're reactivated?

And really, 'muh space wallet?' With all the howling you'd think the people complaining can't rub two C-Bills together or something.

Waiting for Clan vs Clan to begin


Some observations:

• (S)SRMs work well on both sides
  
• dual LBX10 on a Bushwacker or LBX20s on a Hunchback IIC wreck the enemy
  
• some enemy teams actively avoid fights and hide, opting to collect Intel instead - doesn't make a lot of sense while there's an event going on
  
• group drops with unit members were fun - haven't had those in a long time; we usually give up due to long wait times and synch drop in Quick Play instead
  
• MWO UI is terrible
  
• after finishing the Loot Bags, I tried to farm kills in a regular Faction Play match; couldn't find one in ages; went back to Scouting
  
• not too thrilled that the Kill/KMDD requirements were retroactively lowered - this isn't the first time PGI switches events to easy-mode once I've unlocked everything
  
• broke my Team Damage record with a badly placed Artillery Strike ( https://imgur.com/a/3Xe7K )

Exactly right.

You can get those bags if you break loyalty. If you don't want to do that, thats a choice you've made. I mean it may have been misunderstood(By like ALL of us), but it WAS stated in the event announcement.

This is like complaining I can't do the sun-spider challenge because I didn't want to buy the mechs. I chose not to buy them, which means I also chose not to do that event in it's complete form.

Exactly it was unclear and easily misinterpreted by all of us that the normal faction play mode would be available for 7 days, like has been the case in the past where normal fp mode wass kept active during a faction vs faction conflict.

You cannot compare mech challenge with real money which is clearly outlined to loot bags which says available to get then turns out its not.

Except they chose the 2 largest pop factions for I.S. mercs and the 2 lowest pop factions for Clan mercs so no, PGi was not smart enough to do this as a means to reset people with merc contract bonus's. because nova cats and vipers will still have 40-50% bonus contracts.

Well, since you don't want to put the money argument into it, let's do it this way.

I guess we differ on the word "available" then.


They were "available" for 4 days. Everyone could complete all 50/50 lootbags. The next 2 days, they are still "available". Do you have to spend money on them? Nope. Are they available ONLY to a set of players that paid for them? No again. Is there anything PGI has done to prevent you from actually completing these "available" challenges? I'm assuming here(I know...) that they haven't blocked you from changing factions in game. So, again your choice not to complete them. Free btw.

This is like people complaining of "gold" premium ammunition in World of Tanks. Somehow they don't have the ability to buy for regular credits like everyone else can, or since they don't nobody should be able to.

Me personally, Congrats PGI. It's something different. Not perfect.

I have not found what the requirements to play are. If I try to enter a match it says my drop deck doesn't qualify. How do you get in to play?
