One of the issues with events (besides running them for separate modes and hurting population levels...) is people who just want free stuff.

Hey swag is great, but with the bar being so low, players who should not be dropping CW are going to flock to the mode.

Surely that sounds awful, but it would be one thing for a new player open to learn jumping in. That guy is rare, and what we are getting is players who could care less about the team they get matched with.

I am seeing multiple players over multiple games, running in and dying with every mech and then after perma dead, disconnecting. Trial mechs and multiple decks make this an easy no brainer for that anti-social type to screw over every team they drop with and do it quickly.

There was already an easy and generous quick play event.

PGI please for the love of Pete, raise the effin' bar.

Put it back to 250 to discourage the people you wrote that warning for from abusing the system.

At some point as a company you have to learn to be able to discern legitimate complaints from the greed and laziness.

50 match score is ridiculous, and akin to participation award.

Please consider making challenges a bit more challenging so that the game play doesn't suffer.

It used to be 250 match score I think last event?

The amount of people crying about it on the forums, twitter to Russ etc... Cause they couldn't just "smash and grab" it in Scouting and disconnect for the new game.

Sadly... That is just where it's at

The problems of FP are not caused by events.

This is good, at least when the potatoes lose they won't be disheartened that they haven't made progress to the rewards. Keeps more people playing the event. That's fine by me.

Heh...you should see this travesty from the Clan PUG side, down at potato level. It's spectacular. The builds chosen and teamwork (or lack thereof) is truly noteworthy. I haven't seen so many people run out of mechs by the end of the 2nd wave since they went to the two bucket system.

Why would you bother with invasion for this. It's quicker, easier and you don't waste other people's time with your inadequacy. And hopefully I'm learning and getting better as I go. I ain't going near invasion as a solo pug!

Instead of whining about it, I actually have in mind to play a few myself. Even if I have a lot of decks to still skill up from my HSP it will ad to the PGI stats. Telling that this is actually a gamemode that we would like to keep more focus of in the future.

This is why allowing scouting in events is soo bad. And basically a big **** you to the rest us who actually look for good fights. If FP is ever gonna be worth a damn again medium brawlers paradise has got to go.

With luck some of these folk that are new to FP will stick around and give it a real go...if they can stand getting put down by a bunch of prats that think the game mode belongs to them.People get better over time with abit of encouragement and help.Everyone knows FP needs more blood.

Played ~30 matches of scouting for clan today and was actually positively suprised by the competence displayed by teammates and foes.

Sure, I've seen a few bad builds and a bunch of matches ended quickly in the enemies favour, but for an ongoing event, there was a distinct lack of LRM and people tended to stick together and actually focus fire a lot. Even had some games where someone called the drop - most of thoose went buttery smooth. Also a large amount of meta builds brought by people without unit tags.

I've experienced worse on other FP events.

Edit:
ok, thinking back, there was that one game where two players went into hiding instead of engaging and then blamed the team for the loss, but that was the exception today.

Edit2:
That was saturday - now, on sunday, I'm seeing more questionable builds and tactics.

did the whole event in scouting today

for real though, what happened to all the trial lrm kintaros from the last event, the level of stupidity was quite low overall

Should be 50 for Scouting, one bag. Let the 'smash and grab' derp fest be there and keep it there.

CW should be 200, two bags.

Seen far to many 'pilots' not even able to make 50MS in CW today to last me a lifetime.

Only reason why the level of stupidity was lower was because PGI decided to change the trial mechs to better ones.

More players in FP to play games with is always nice, high or low skill I'm not gonna complain let everyone play if they want to.

Just don't complain about being stomped by better teams/players either.

More unskilled players joining in and not giving a F is not good for the mode. 100 / 150 point thresholds would have been a no brainer.

Just need to communicate out that you can do 200 damage in scouting to earn the event loot. Much faster than invasion and easy with SRMs.

Well, I apologise for for encroaching on your game mode. I've been bringing a mastered Griffin-2N, with a reasonable build, and trying my best to work with the team to secure wins. But don't worry, after the event, I'll leave you to your thriving game mode. GLHF.
