Why cant i see the C and D variants to buy? in the mechbay..

I own the variants shouldn't i be able to see them?

The code can't differentiate between who own them and who don't. Therefore, any reinforcement omnipods cannot be purchased by anyone until many months in the future (they don't want standard pack owners buying the pods).

You'll have to rip the pods off and move them around.

Why does PGI do these weird things.. Why not just add all the omnipods at release does it really matter if some lucky Vanguard owner gets 5 variants over 3..

Money? Revenue? A lack of empathy because they dion't actively play or care? The SNS is "just another" gimmick mech anyway. Same as the Gyr's a year ago.

Outside of the SNS being far better than people give it credit for...

The Night Gyr was widely considered the best Heavy in the game. And it's still considered one of the best Heavies. What are you talking about?

The Sun Spider in particular fulfills a niche that no other Clan Heavy has filled so far in being a pure high-mounted hill poker for both Ballistic (like a Clan Jagermech) and Energy builds since it does that specific role better than the Ebon does.

What's good for the game are mechs being added that add niches instead of being very powerful to the point where they dwarf all other mechs. A good mech addition is one that adds a new viable playstyle/build that couldn't be done before rather than one that just does an existing playstyle/build better than other mechs.

It is just laziness on PGI's part. Their excuse that the code won't allow them to distinguish between who owns the reinforcement pack and who doesn't has to be the biggest bunch of bullshizer I have ever heard. I am not an expect programmer but if they can can code the game to distinguish if you own a specific mech or not, they can code it to check and see if you own the reinforcement pack or not and allow you to buy the reinforcement omnipods if you do.

I mean come on now. Just add a code line that says, "IF reinforcement sunspider = Y, THEN allow X (buying the omnipods for reinforcement sunspider) to occur. I know it is different code for different engines but seriously it can't be that damn hard to add this.

What they should do if it's too hard is give additional omnipods to people buying the reinforcement/Hero packs so they don't have to strip one to fix up another one.
