I'm trying to find scouting missions to join for the event. Straight forward enough. I click the Faction Play button, the map loads up. On the right hand side there's a "Fight now" button. Clicking it does nothing. Some planets have explosions over them - they must be contended, prime for a fight. I see no way to join that fight or try and fight there.

I'm stuck waiting for the big red button in the bottom right of the screen to even join a Faction game.

Am I missing something obvious, or is the Faction Play UI just that bad?

You will need to join one of the factions for the event.

I'm a loyalist for Marik. My question is, will I be able to keep my rank when I rejoin Marik if I quit them to participate in the event?

You have to pledge to one of the factions in the fight, in this case Steiner or Davion for the event. Click the Factions tab on the left and you should be good.

I'm already Steiner (was from ages ago, when I joined whatever group my friend told me to), and I'm not seeing a button to actually start fighting.



Seriously, what am I missing? There's no "Go", "Launch", or "Fight" button, and "Fight Now" only zooms me into the planet. There's no additional buttons when I click on the Steiner planet either.

From what I have been reading in the other threads, if you go to the Event screen you can select the event and get into a match from there.

I had the same issue, I've been davion forever.

I just waited until I saw the call to arms and clicked it. Kinda lame.

...why is that the way to get to the matches? I didn't have to go through the Event page to get into game when the required matches were Quick Play, I was able to go through the normal process.

Just what I was reading on this thread.
To be clear, believe it's the little Event Details button in the top right of the screen shot just above the Fight Now.
It will be something to do with the fight being restricted to just Davion and Steiner and the regular queue for Faction Play being shut down for the interim..... and maybe until further notice.
Something like that anyway.

The previous phase of FP event used the normal FP queue, but inter-House/inter-Clan conflicts run a separate "event queue" for matchmaking.

That "previous" event (loot bags) is still live though. That's why I was looking for how to fire up Faction Play in the first place.
