for us players its - self explanatory ...(PGI hope you read this!)
i just trying to help all players that Think pgi need reconsider some clans and IS flexibility
on that kind of events we have now or the next Clan vs Clan conflict - Steel Viper vs Nova Cat

right now pgi giving us 2 options - do as pgi wish ,or just dont play the game and wait for the event to end!
as a result Because of this event pgi forced too many users to do things we didn't really needed or want - if its to leave our unit,to leave clan side or IS side ,use mechs we dont like , premium time that go to waste and even more things.

sorry but not all of us want do that Pgi simon says shi%
not all of us want to be IS,clan,viper,Steiner ..etc - please let us choose as always what we want to play - if its clan or IS or just normal play with no event ... just dont force us.

pgi you got stop doing Code testing on your customers and users and then call it spacial evens !
2.not all of us wana do that shi% so at least give us some daily normal faction play.
learn the basic of gaming - let user choose how and what to play

one thing I like about this and wish we had more of it - clan vs clan and IS vs IS its sure fun!! just wish we could have choose if ....
no real reason to force us ...

NO DO NOT STOP A BIT OF VARIETY IN OTHERWISE BORING EVENTS

No seriously mate what is your effin problem the IS vs IS part of the event will be over tonight and then it will be Clan versus Clan for the funsies.
Maybe you should just go and read the descriptions of the events thoroughly before demanding stuff nobody needs.
Also you can swithch factions and contracts without penaltys.
Read the last patchnotes.

let me ask you this
why you take the effort to type all this ? all im saying is yea cool do the event please do!!! and i hope you having good time. just also give us some daily faction play as extra option for others...(its a game main thing is to have fun or you just stop play)
and also : what will you say when it will be clan vs clan only ?
all i saying is leave the daily faction play run normal as extra for players that dont want to do the events!!

I gotta say i hated this Faction Play event..

That said the IS vs IS was vastly superior to the IS vs Clan bias BS we usually must deal with.. IS vs IS seemed far more balanced than i've ever seen FW..

If they removed Clan permanently from the game i'd not care, i'd even let them take all the clan garbage i bought with money if it made the game more balanced.

I will not be bothering with the clan part because i care not for clan stuff.

Yeah as a Marik loyalist going Steiner JUST TO BE ABLE TO PLAY FACTION is ridiculous same goes for going clans after.
I wasn't online when the IS vs IS phase started so some people left to be able to play the mode or get dem loot bags.
What's next?
Removing specific houses and clans and just call it Inner Sphere and Clans screwing over all the loyalists?

you know ... in this world there is a lot of different peoples around some like this some like other things ... but
this post its for users that dont like this kind of events if its clan stuff or IS stuff (again i hope and happy you having fun) just want the game little better for all!! and its easy to do if PGI add back the normal none event faction play as extra option

Nah keep this event for those that enjoy it, instead leave regular faction play open for the loyalist who wanna do fp without breaking loyalty
And do closed server test before releasing the event because its just too often that an event is bugged

I had fun. The Is vs Is combat was a bit different than usual and Ive seen lots of people/units that normally wouldn't play FP. I'm sorry but switching factions on the fly is possible now so I really dont see the problem

well some just like the daily FP and dont want the switching even if its easy n ow, thats all, and again as before - im happy you having fun!! me others also want to have fun!
so why pgi forcing the "others" ? thats all .. a game ..

I have trouble understanding OP and why he is demanding action when the IS vs IS and Clan vs Clan events are almost halfway done.

Honestly mostly I saw Davions trying to do the clan thing in IS mechs.
Sure it works against pugs and passive players but it didn't felt that different to me other then the type of mechs you fight.

It honestly didn't play any differently than normal FP. IS vs IS meant I got into my annihilator and warhammer and rekted bads in catapults, roughnecks, and poorly built mechs. Just like Clan vs Clan, I'll get in my Deathstrike and Hellbringer and rekt bads in Mad Dogs, Linebackers and poorly built mechs.

Good players still stomped bad players, only bad players couldn't blame on tech difference for them sucking.

Hope PGI doesnt listen to these kind of ridonculous demands and keeps doing these kind of events - for once the meaningless symbols feel ever so slightly less meaninless, props for IS vs IS and clan vs clan action. I get why in principle some folks aren’t happy...however it’s hard for me to get worked up about a very short FW event that has brought diversity of play (is v. Is...Clan v. Clan) and some unusual (crazy, unpredictable and yes...often bad) gameplay. It has been hard to take the games remotely seriously, as each match has probably a dozen “new to FW” players in it who might do anything and most often don’t listen to instructions. It’s been strangely refreshing for this brief time its running. Plus there are trinkets given out.

yeah i still got stomped dropping with pugs also, but IS v IS is the only place i can get over 2500 damage and still get less than 3 kills, clan mechs just don't have the damage capacity for me to do that much and not have a least 3 fall over by accident, happened to me twice yesterday.

On the bright side first time ove consistently been good for 2000+ damage so i kind of liked this event, of course i was lucky enough to be a Steiner guy already so that doesn't help ya....

P.S. Op thanks for acknowledging Steiner superiority by making it the only faction starting with a capital letter "[color=#959595]IS,clan,viper,Steiner"[/color]

Vxheous has a point, the good players still beat the average ones, good builds still beat bad ones. Maybe a few events like this will put the whole balance argument to bed since I know i'm in for a kicking often just by reading the relative player lists before the game. Some people are just better shots and like better mechs and these events help establish that.

Having said that i always appreciate good pilots going sub meta for a challenge.

I really can't understand this mindset. It's three days. Just three days of switching factions and playing something different from the IS v Clan norm. Are people really so dedicated to an icon and a name that going merc or swapping loyalties is completely out of the question? Yes, I get it, lore is a big deal to a lot of people, but this is ridiculous. You can't just pretend for a few days that you're not the same loyalist pilot you normally are? It's not like PGI is demanding you switch permanently, it's just a few freaking days.

Consider this: by playing the event, I gained rank 1 on Steiner and rank 1 on Davion, getting me some more free stuff with the free stuff.
