The Wolfhound and Panther both have Armor quirks. Can we get some love for the Firestarter ? Between the Resize and Engine Desync mine have been mothballed since. Poor little big fragile guy.

PGI's metrics probably showed Chris that Firestarters are OP or something.

Chris wasn't here during the Rescale. Not to mention we all know Chris is little more than a meat-shield for Paul...

I agree I own two myself and I actually try to fit them in for my IS faction drops. It boggles my mind the sizing of some of the mechs......right now the Firstarter looks like a medium. Either buff the armor quirks or make them smaller!

My firestarters (and Jenner's) have been parked since the rescale. Why pilot them when I can take the AC with significantly better scaling, or a Locust with significantly quirks?

That said, I did have fun the other night rocking flamers +mgs in the old Ember, and chasing down laser vomit linebackers with my buddies. Worked really good backed up by a MG Jager and Myst Lynx. Outside of that gimmick though? Ehh.....

There have always been mechs that are weirdly scaled. Pre-rescale Nova looked like a Heavy, while the Pre-rescale Zeus also looked like a Heavy. During the Rescale, some of the "too big" mechs got smaller, while others got larger(to their detriment). I mean, most of the 35 tonners look like they should be mediums, while the Grasshopper and Black Knight look like they should be Assaults.

Don't get me started on the 55tonners. Just compare the Shadowhawk vs the Roughneck. They're the same size, but guess which one gets all the armor quirks, and which gets jack? I'll give you a clue, it's the one that's 10 tons heavier.

yeah the Black Knights got screwed, rescale means they are taller than a Highlander, and then quirk changes have been fairly random most recently, taking most of the weapon quirks and giving armor quirks to 3 of them and structure + sensor range for the other 2.

My favourite was the the BL-6-KNT but now it and the BL-6B-KNT suck, they are taller than most assault mechs but have 84 CT armor, my Bushwhackers all have more armor. Bizarrely the other 3 Knights have 117 CT armor. How are these 3 variants (including hero Partisan) somehow, by the 'data', so much worse than the other 2 that they deserve an extra 32 armor to the CT? its a difference of nearly 40%. If these 2 get so much less armor give back all of their weapon quirks instead of a pathetic +80 sensors

Edited: 84 CT armor without skill tree for the BL-6-KNT, my Partisan and BL-7-KNT-L both have 117 CT armor with skill tree
