Judging by the comments I’m the only person in the whole of mwo who lives in Perth, well I’m sure there might be a few around but I’m fine with the oceanic server being really anywhere, both SEA and the other Aus server worked for me, I don’t want to seem selfish but I guess that’s a kind of indication of a midway point?

From Singapore, getting the following pings:

NA: 247-280ms
EU: 343-360ms
OC: 450-480ms

Game is laggy and there is apparent rubber banding, on new OC (Perth) server.

Holy hell dude, those pings are insane.

Checking pings tonight, NA is better, EU is worse than usual (but within the range) Oceania is still meh

Maybe I am on too early.

From Singapore also, getting the following pings

NA: 232
EU: 304ms
OC: 310ms

Note that Aussie server is WORST than to EU or USA.

Not sure how I'm supposed to benefit from either Sydney or Perth. when I was single digit previously

If even countries close to Aussie like Indonesia and Singapore are getting lousy pings, then how about those further out?

The Perth server isn't live yet. It will go live around noon PDT today (about 2 hours from this post).

I would be nice to have all 3 servers checked.

I had around 300-350 ping, but after the relocation ping is around 500 (LOL)

Hi Noon you say?
Any chance you guys could always post times in UTC (Robot Overlord Time) and leave it up to the rest of us to hack time? :)

That would be 19:00 (7:00 pm) UTC. Just under ten minutes from the time I post this.

I am getting a pop-up asking me to update the portal. Is this due to this new server location?

No, just a coincidence. The Portal was updated about an hour ago, in preparation of the removal of the 32-bit executable in the upcoming April patch.

Are UTC and GMT the same thing ?

Also da hell were you still up at 5am for Ash.

Just need to get my 2 yo off my pc now.

I still dont understand why NA providers comnect to Sydney Australia through Asia and Perth. ... Not through the Southern cross pipeline from hawaii to NZ to sydeny.

Can PGI talk to N.A. providers about that or does every latenight NA player that plays during Oceanic Peaktime need to complain to their providers individualy which will never happen....

The server doesn't decide what path users take to reach it, the users local exchanges which make the initial connection to the server decide what path it will take. Users find servers servers dont randomly try to connect users on a fastest route when thise users might be asleep / at work????? Or can a server actually make a user disconnect and reconnect via a faster route??

250ms ping on oceanic. FML.

Is there any way we can get at least 150ms on either? (for reference, i use to get 60ms)

1) 250 is perfectly usable.
2) Wrong thread: https://mwomercs.com...-perth-edition/
